At the front of the class room there are a large number of bottles of various coloured paints set out, as well as brushes and make-up pads and handouts on body painting.

"Okay kids, today's assignment is to find a partner and come up with and paint a design on each other and I will love you all forever if anyone ends up in a pairing that goes horribly, horribly wrong."

"I just don't get that," she snickered. "A random shrub suddenly shows up and you're not suspicious?" Using a tiny brush she added several drops of bright, red blood dripping from the dagger. "There. What do you think?"

"That be another truth o' Fandom. Thar be some terribly stupid 'n self-absorbed people around here." Barbossa grinned. "O' course, they normally be makin' fer the best stories."

He looked down with delight at his arm. "That be quite a piece o' art. Thank ye!"

He reached for a pot of black paint. "Which eye be ye preferrin'?"

"That is true," Isabel agreed as she tipped her face and pushed her hair back to give him a better look at her left eye. "The broadcasts would be pretty boring without all the emo and innuendo to report."

Barbossa leaned forward and began painting, starting above her eyebrow.

"Without emo 'n inneundo, we'd jes be talkin' about classes, and who wants t' hear about that?" he asked.

He frowned. "Can ye close yer eye, please?"

"I'd be a hypocrite if I said me," Isabel stated. She closed her eye and tried not twitch too much. "Still, I prefer it if my name is only mentioned in a fairly innocent way. That's why I'm always careful to look for shubbery."

Barbossa painted quickly, hoping it would dry just as fast.

"The shrubbery be appreciatin' it, too, o' course." He smiled. "Though as far as I be knowin' it be only chased out o' one common room by someone wieldin' a shoe so far this year."

"That's good. I just hope it didn't mind being watered by punch at the Valentine's dance. But I think Peter thought it looked thirsty," Isabel chuckled.

Barbossa laughed, then carefully finished drawing a painted line for the string for the eyepatch.

"Ye be lookin' most fearsome," he said, smiling.

"Thank you," Isabel smiled. "Now all I need is a hat and a sword and I can go plunder the common rooms for food."

Barbossa grinned back. "I'd let ye borrow mine, but then I'd be feelin' positively naked."

"And we couldn't have that. It would be wrong on so many levels." Isabel looked over at Parker and Kara (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/769440.html?thread=36439456#t36439456). "I think I prefer our artwork. That's a little too messy for me."

Barbossa was not at all interested in looking at two hot wenches covered in paint. Nope, not at all.

"I be likin' our version better meself," he offered faintly.
