Cooking Down with the Fire Gang; Thursday, First Period [07/04].
Well, ther was a redhead ready to teach a class about cooking today.
It just wasn't exactly the redhead everyone was expecting. It wasn't like she knew that, and, sure, the Labyrinth had just finished taking over the island and everything, but Summer wasn't going to let any of that stop her from teaching her very important class on Fire Gang cooking.
Which was pretty simple, actually. And a bit more horrifying than what they'd usually be doing in her class, if you could believe it.
"Hello!" the currently rather hairy and beaky and generally Muppety Summer said, hopping with a gangly sort of gracein front of an obvious green screen onto the counter in the front of the room and crouching down a little, her eyes wide and bright and...glassy. "And welcome to Cooking Down with the Fire Gang! We're going to have a good time and teach you how to cook Firey Stew! No worries, it's really simple, we're just going to..." She swiped a hand on the counter, managing to start her finger on fire and set it to the burner in front of her, because, sure, yeah, that was totally how you lit a stove...if you were a Firey. "Get a big pot of some water going. Toss in some carrots!" Whole carrots went into the pot. "And maybe some leaves!" Yup, those were leaves. "I've got some nice sticks!" Them, too. "And for a real kick..."
This was when Summer just went ahead and popped off one of her legs, waved it a little as if her toes were saying hello, and tossed that into the pot, "Just a a foot. Or your whole leg!"
So now Summer was there, hopping on one leg, looking at the class thoughtfully. "For this next step, though, we're going to have to change things up. Why don't you all go ahead, take off your heads," and there she went, just popping off her head like it was nothing, "and switch with the person next to you! It'll be fun! Best way to make Firey Stew is to do it with someone else's head on! Better yet! Get that other head and just....toss that in, too!"
Summer's head was now talking to them from inside the large pot boiling on the stove, which she'd also hopped over to, popped off her arm, and was stirring the whole thing with it as if it were a ladle.
"Come on then," said Summer's firey head from inside the cook pot, "the soup's not gonna make itself!"
