There was no Anakin for the usual Wednesday madness this week. Maybe because he was spending well earned time with his family. Maybe because he was tied up in a closet. Maybe because Deadpool was also now under the Disney MegaCorp umbrella and the monopoly of entertainment was well under way.

"That got kinda dark," Wade said, thinking it over. "Accurate, but dark. Anywho! I'm in charge, so there are gonna be a few changes that won't last past this week. But for this week, I'm a god."

Or something.

"It's maze time because that one hit movie that don't really remember. You know. Boy Katniss. But that's only because there's no Bowie here to make it a different movie. R.I.P."

It might have been the island (it was the island), it might have been Wade being very industrious last night, but there was now a mini laybrinth waiting for everyone to try out. Complete with moderately dangerous traps. No minotaur, though. They were hard to book.

"Now, I know Skywalker likes teams, but this shit? This is a free for all to the prize at the center."

Wade stared at them for a moment before making a shooing motion. "Go. C'mon. Get going. Shoo."

Prompto heard that, and Prompto probably shouldn't say anything, he should probably have some sense of self-preservation over here, and he tried, really, he did, biting his lip and bouncing in an effort to hold back any comments he might have to make, but, hey, he'd gotten what Nina thought about the glitterbomb into his system now, but hadn't had a chance to get a guage from Vette yet, so it was probably dumb of him to bring attention to it, but he just couldn't help it.

"Still hungry for more, then, I seeeeee," he said, smirking proudly, the lilt in his voice perhaps suggesting that more could certainly be arranged, but he wasn't actually going to say that part, because he knew his last one was completely brilliant and he did not have faith in himself to actually manage to pull off something even remotely as good any time soon.

Vette was so sticking her tongue out at him.

"You got one freebie," she informed him. "The next one won't be so easy, buster."

And Prompto? Was going to stick his tongue right back out at her.

"Uh-huh," he stated jovially. "You say that now, but we'll see..." He lifted his chin loftily, "we'll see..."

Of course, he had no idea how in the world he could beat that, but Vette didn't need to know that, and he smirked knowingly as if he'd already had something in mind.

Which he didn't.

Although there was always that blip of a thought to figure out just how to boobytrap a giant Zora in his pocket.

Vette was smirking so much now.

"Anyway," she drawled, sounding quite pleased with the whole situation, "you'll be too busy watching your own back from here on out, won't you?"

Though he tried to keep it from doing so, Prompto's expression may have faltered a little bit, especially since he had to subtly swallow down that nice lump rising unbidden in his throat. But he laughed it off as best he could, shaking his head, keeping his own smirk as bouyant as possible.

"With you two?" he stated. "I'm always watching my back."

He said, having been totally stealth hugged in his own room earlier in the week...

"Smart," Vette replied, nodding solemnly. "Smart. You wouldn't want to not be able to trust your own room, after all."

Was she giving him hints about his impending doom, or just taking the piss?

It was a mysteryyyyyy.

"Nina was in there when I came back from classes Monday," Prompto pointed out. "It's already a non-safe zone, and besides, you're putting a lot of emphasis on my room, there, Vette, just like someone who would want me to focus on my room so I don't see her setting her sights elsewhere."

"Oh? Am I?" Vette just gave Prompto a sweet little smile.

Because keeping him sweating was her favorite hobby, mostly.

You know, when some people picked a hobby, they liked to pick something that might actually challenge them...

Prompto, who basically started sweating from existing in a world with other people, was just going to make a face at Vette that was one step away from being another stuck-out tongue. "I think we got it, Vette," he said. "No where is safe. There's no where to hide. Just remember," because, really, if he did boobytrap Sidon, he'd have to win some sort of prize for creativity and unexpectedness, right? "that's a street that goes both ways."

"Yeah," Vette laughed, "but I want it to!"

She loved a challenge. Loved it.

And was so going to spend all her time in the maze just hunting down traps and disarming them for kicks.
