Well, considering what some of the kids had looked like during paintball earlier in the week (when she wasn't too busy trying to think about how to get back at Blackstone for shooting her in the butt to notice, anyway), and when the island in general seemed to be going through at the moment, Rosa wasn't entirely sure what to expect to show up to her class today. She wasn't too worried about it, though, because the final Gladiator event was pretty open to just about anything, which worked out well. Because no matter who showed up or what they showed up as, it was going to be entertaining as hell.

"Alright, Gladiators," she told them once...whoever managed to or decided to show up were there, "it's your last time to shine, and we're doing it with Powerball. How to play is simple: gets as many of the balls of your assigned color into goal baskets as you can, and do whatever you can to prevent your opponents from getting their balls into the baskets. If you have trouble figuring that out..."

Rosa shook her head, because she was convinced you were pretty hopeless at that part. "Gear up, listen for your colors, and then let's go!"

Rosa was pretty sure even if any monstered students showed up, even they should be able to follow those instructions.

Vette shouldn't have been here. Vette, insofar as she was still Vette, was a horrifying, twitching things with limbs that were far too long and tentacles - more than the usual two head-tails - writhing in a mass around her shoulders, reaching out from the back of her oddly shaped head.

Really, it was a wonder she'd managed to show up at class at all.

It was an even bigger wonder she wasn't eating her classmates.

Might wanna give her some space today, folks.

"Oh my god that is so upsetting!!!!" Mae hissed.

Keeping well, well out of claw, tooth, or tentacle range of Vette.

Just for that, Mae, your balls were going to be the ones Vette went snarling after first.

BETTER MAE'S BALLS THAN MAE HERSELF.

Mae was firmly on the side of "survival is the most winning strategy" today.

"Yikes," said Rosa, about as dry as a yikes could possibly be, getting an eyeful of Vette, especially compared to how she looked on Wednesday. "So this thing is definitely getting way worse before it gets any better..."

And she was feeling particularly glad, in that moment, that she'd finally caved in about using the Danger Shop for some of her classes now...

There are a ton of baskets and each student has an endless tub of balls filled with their color, which is as follows:

Lilac is lilac, Janet is orange, Nexu is blue, Chill is white, Nightmare is black, Crap Horse is olive green, and Hurricane is yellow.

The order of victory is Lilac (the RNG really liked Lila this semester), Crap Horse, Nexu, Hurricane, Nightmare, Chill, and Janet, subject to adjusting based on who actually shows up for class or not.

HAVE AT IT.

Funny thing was, it wasn't like Lylek (who was looking horrifyingly reminiscent of her namesake today), really even understood the instructions. Or knew what color 'lilac' was.

But some part of her still had a competitive streak a mile wide, so Force help anybody who got in the way of her as she chased down the balls and... basically shredded anything that wasn't her own.

That was one way to win, right?

Mae immediately scrambled to the top of the nearest basket (that didn't belong to a monstered person, thank you) and just like. Stayed there. All class.

It meant she really, really wasn't going to win. But you know what? She was okay with that. Today she was very, very okay with that.

Lana was perfectly capable of using the Force to cheat, here.

But also a bit distracted by Vette. So...maybe just a little off her game.

Who is feeling very glad that she's avoided whatever it is that's gotten into the water this week.

Or she would, if she wasn't still stuck on the fact that, somehow, against all logic, Blackstone managed to shoot her ~~handwavily~~ in the butt on Wednesday.

She was never getting over that one.

I'm sticking with my head on this one and assuming those two just ignored everyone and straight up murdered each other on Wednesday. =D
