Newspaper Staff Meeting, 4pm FHT, Journalism Room

Chloe sits perched on top of one of the desks in the Journalism room, tapping away at her laptop as she waits for everyone else to show up. If she appears to be a little distracted, it might be because of the unopened envelope from Metropolis University that's sitting next to her.

Veronica is scribbling in a notebook.

Peter was jotting down some ideas to avoid glaring at Veronica. It worked very well. Yay ideas.

[OOC: I had wanted to, but zomg too much stuff during a far-too-long day. Some other time, perhaps. *goes back to work*]

Veronica has no idea that Peter wants to glare at her. This is a good thing since she's still in a good mood from the tea party.

Victor was a little nervous with Rory there, but stayed silent unless someone talked to him. He made a mental note, though, to smile in greeting if his and Rory's gaze ever met.

I've learned that people come and go...

"I really have no idea what to write this week. Anyone need anything done?"

"You know what, don't worry about it." Chloe smiles at Victor. "You did such a great job with that series, so unless you have something you're dying to write something, you can take a break this week."

"Really? Thanks!"

"Column, speaks, girlkissy"

Chloe grins. "Yay girlkissy!"

"Column and whatever else you need from me."

"The column should be fine. I get the feeling that the girlkissy might require some wrangling of the participants, unless Cally and Kara win."

"If I win, I'll do it, just to prove a point to Logan and Angel," Veronica said. "But I am amused that Cally's campaigning."

Chloe laughs. "This has really become quite a bit more interesting than I thought it would."

"I've got the StuCo thing under control, but I actually have an idea for something else, too. I think it would be nice if we interviewed the ~~NPCs~~ people who work in the school office. They just go about their jobs, but nobody ever really talks to them much. I think it would be interesting to hear their stories."

"Oooh," Chloe says, eyes lighting up. "That sounds cool. I bet at least one of them isn't as boring outside of the office as they seem inside."

"They live in Fandom, how boring can they be?" Peter asked.

"Exactly." Chloe nodded. "I think that'll work out very well."

"Do we need anything from me?" Rory asked with a little smile.

~~Footage from the wedding!~~ "I don't know, is there anything in particular you'd like to do? I don't think anything major's going on soon except Game Night."

"I could cover Game Night and anything else big that happens this weekend." Rory smiled. "You know how things tend to crop up, and all. We might find another boykissy room or something, and I think the readers need to know about these things."

"Oh, definitely." Chloe grins. "Personally, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for more boykissy."

"I'm open to suggestions. Preferably of the non-cursed variaty."

"Something non-cursed? Around here? I don't know if we have that kind of assignment," Chloe teases.

Alanna groaned. "Then I'll settle for something that just needs to be written, curse or no."

"I don't think we have anything that needs to be written actually. Perhaps a little time off might break the curse. I know how hard you worked trying to get that interview."

I've learned that families break and grow...
