today!"

...and no, Anakin didn't know that might mean something other than games played in a pool. Shhhh, he wasn't from around here. "That's why we're in a pool."

"This is a game called water polo," said Aeryn. "You'll have two teams. You'll race to the center of the pool to get the ball, and then try to get it in the other team's net, while the other team tries to prevent you from doing just that. No drowning," she added quickly.

"Which is why everyone not Sidon gets some water wings," Anakin agreed. Yes, with crabs on them. Yes, you have to wear them.

Even you, Aeryn. "This sport involves a lot of endurance and treading water and we'd rather not have to fish you out of the bottom."

Aeryn had not agreed to crabs and she'd fight you.

"First to five points wins," she said. "Anakin will referee, so if you try to get away with anything illegal… it's up to him."

"No sitting on each other's heads," Anakin said.

Aeryn frowned, and paused, and thought he was weird, and said, "You heard the man."

Although Sidon thought it was a bit of a shame to be in a pool when there was so much perfectly good (and far superior!) water everywhere, he was still going to put on those water wings if there were extra out of solidarity, even if he didn't have to.

Those swim caps, however, would be a very firm negative. He wasn't even sure how one of those would even work on his head beyond not very well.

"All right," Aeryn told her team. "We're winning this. It is not up for debate."

Listen. Bobby was, if he put his mind to it, capable of turning himself into water. Drowning was kind of physically impossible.

So he'd put on the cap, but he was gonna ignore those water wings, thanks.

Anakin gave everyone a slightly more thorough understanding of how the game worked before blowing his whistle to begin the match.

[OOC: Sidon's team is gonna win, but we care not how that happens. Swim, splash, try to sit on Anakin's head, whatever!]

"Right." Lana put on the cap, which really mostly looked like under-armour to a real helmet, but whatever.

"Nothing in the rules says we can't steal the ball out of their hands, does it?"

"You should really wear the crabs," Anakin told her because Anakin had a death wish.

"You're not even a little funny," Aeryn told him, perfectly fine with the cap.

"I'm extremely funny," Anakin declared. "Rory says so."

Rory didn't.

"You're also a bad liar and I know your wife," Aeryn said.

"She'd back me up if she saw what you were supposed to be wearing," Anakin said, smirking.

"I can also take her," Aeryn pointed out.

"Well, yes, but she'll sulk about it for at least a week."

"And that's why you should both know better," Aeryn won.
