Cutthroat Games- Monday- 1st period

Today the class was meeting at the Danger Shop, which was set up just like Anakin and Aeryn's favorite paintball place... that they had been kicked out of for taking it way too seriously. And maybe some things had been damaged. Not the point!

"This is paintball," Aeryn said, passing out red helmets to the students she'd just now decided would be the red team. "The concept is simple: you will put on all the necessary safety gear, and then you will get guns filled with balls of paint. You will shoot at the members of the opposite team."

"And if they cry or whine about it, you can shoot them again," Anakin said.

And now you know why they had to create their own site!

He handed out blue helmet to the other half of the room, then put one on his own head even though it would mess up his amazing hair. The sacrifices he made!

"And since we have an uneven number, red team, you have him to face off against," Aeryn said. "All you have to do is be the last one standing. If you get hit, you're out. Good luck with this one."

Seriously. Good luck, red team.

...And, really, good luck to the blue team, too.

Sidon was just going to be mostly amused that he didn't turn out to be team red.

It helped with being not so amused about trying to squeeze his head into a helmet, though it did seem the danger shop was more than happy to provide (as usual and often to his dismay) one large enough for the purpose at hand.

Paintball was certainly one of the activities that Sidon had discovered he wasn't particularly good at. He was unfamiliar with guns, he was an incredibly massive easy target, and he generally felt a little bad about shooting his friends. He could, of course, take care of the last one a little by tapping into a little bit of jovial ruthlessness, but nothing could save him when it came to laughable attempts at stealth.

He could barely even fit in some of those passages and hidey spots.

But he was certainly going to try his very best, all the same!

Billy, like Sidon, was also amused that he wasn't on Team Red, and pulled out his phone just long enough to send Freddy a text message that said borrowing your color for the day, sorry, man, not my call.

Freddy was going to be so confused about this until after the paintball session.

"Right," he said in a tone that had a distinct note of do we really have to take it this seriously? to it. "Got it."

Crap. Mary had way better aim than he did when it came to these things.

Well, now Lana's helmet matched...most Sith helmets, actually. And was less ridiculous than many.

Blaster wasn't her preferred weapon, but she was still prepared to win this thing.

Lana was wishing she was better at using the Force to hide, but she wasn't above using it to bolster her aim. Or bat away any balls she noticed.

Hey, it was a fake battle, but it was still a battle. This, she had experience with.

A little telekinesis or lightning to distract someone, then a shot from the other side...

Lana spun too late, then scowled, more at the words than getting tagged out. He was a Master and she was still not even a Lord, so it wasn't shocking, but did he have to be so smug about it?
