Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2019, Early Saturday Evening [Part 1]

Although there weren't as many sun-allergic people attending the graduation ceremony these days, traditions were meant to be upheld. As the sun went down, the finishing touches of decorations were made, and everything was finally ready. The lawn of the school had been lit up with blue and gold lights, and there were chairs set up for all of the graduates, along with plenty of seats for guests to come and watch. The weather was behaving itself, and it looked like it would be a nice, calm spring evening.

Congratulations, Class of 2019! Your big day is here!

At the appropriate moment, there was Pomp and Circumstance, because tradition. It was time for the soon-to-be-graduates to make the last adjustments to their blue and gold robes, and get to walking to their seats.

Once the speeches were over, Zoe came back up to the podium, and called each graduate's name to give them their diploma.

Paris had her cap and gown pressed and perfect and only looked a little like she'd been having a complete nervous breakdown over the last few weeks. So, #winning.

How the heck Yang managed to make her robes look mildly scandalous would be her secret forever. Seriously. Like anyone expected her to wear something that looked like a potato sack.

Trying to get her cap to stay on her hair, however, was proving a challenge, apparently. "OH COME ON!!"

Ignore the fact that her eyes were more pink than purple at the moment. She was a teensy bit frustrated with the stupid hat.

Yang gave Winchester a wink as she picked up her diploma, before turning around and holding it aloft like a trophy as she let out a loud whoop of victory.

"Best 'summer training camp' ever, dad."

No, she was never going to let him live that description down.

A sundown graduation was perfect, actually, because it meant the likelihood of anyone noticing an extra bird hanging around went down to almost zero.

So there was nothing to notice about a raven perched very high up in one of the trees, minding its own business. Nothing at all. Unless you were sensitive to magic being used.

Beaker had a cap and a gown! Beaker was not on fire ~~so far~~. You go, Beaker!

"Meep meep meep meep meep!" Beaker said, bouncing over to receive his diploma.

Paris held her diploma proudly over her head once she'd received it. Twelve years of hard work, after all. She deserved to celebrate.

A fairly unlikely trio had grabbed seats in the front row; two men, and a girl too young to attend Fandom, but who was clearly INTO IT.

"DAAAAAAAAAAD LOOK. IT'S, LIKE A CASTLE. LIKE BEACON. HOW COME YANG GOT TO TRAIN AT A CASTLE AND I DIDN'T DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD?!?!?!"

"Because you're still too little, half-pint," Qrow drawled, messing up Ruby's hair. "You aren't tall enough to ride that ride yet, drink more milk."
