"Hello, class! Today we'll be talking about one of the most important figures in the Justice System: The Judge."

"The judge is the Mayor of Justice City. He tells the police they can arrest an evildoer, referees the trials that determine if a person is innocent or guilty, looks off to the side when a superhero causes minor property damage while fighting The Good Fight, and looks keen in a snazzy black robe. The judge is, simply put, the guy to be!"

"Judges get to be judges by being keen lawyers first. If they do their job and impress people enough, they can upgrade from their position as mild-mannered attorneys to become Kings of the Justice Hill!"

"Once you are a judge, it's your right and responsibility to look at the law and make decisions based on it. So while they wield a lot of power, they also have to be careful about using it because it can be used as precedent."

"Today, I'd like you to just talk about judges and the court system a bit. Also be sure to take a little bit of time to work with your group! Your project is due Tuesday!"

Angel quirked an eyebrow in return.

Veronica stuck her tongue out. ~~and ignore the ooc on the icon plz!~~

Angel gave her a sideways look.

Veronica winked.

Angel grinned. "You realize ultimately in any fight over which one of us can make the most faces, I'm gonna win."

"That's fine," she said with a smug smile. "I made you talk first though."

"You didn't make me. I volunteered."

"I somehow think we're off subject," Veronica said with a grin. "What are we supposed to be talking about?"

"Our assignment," Angel said. "I was wondering if we should pick a different cartoon for our example."

"What did you have in mind?"

"What about that one with the Wagnerian opera?" Angel suggested. "That's got a lot of deus ex machinas happening. Could work to show our theory."

Veronica nodded. "That could work. I like that one."

"This way we're not using an example Prof. Tick already used," Angel said. "Plus opera in the Danger Shop: Tell me that's not fun."

"I think it sounds perfect," Veronica said with a grin.

"Got any ideas of what else we can do in the Danger Shop?" Angel asked.

"Not really," she admitted. "I don't know what all it *can* do."

"Pretty much anything," Angel said. "We could make it look like whatever we wanted."

"Oh! We could make it look like one of those really fancy opera houses, like in Phantom of the Opera," Veronica suggested.

Angel started making some sketches. "That's a good idea. And the class could sit in the audience?"

"Yeah, that would be good."

She grinned.

"We could sing our presentation," she suggested.

"Ha ha. No."

"You are no fun."

"I'm prepared to live with that."

"Okay, well what do you think we should do?"

"I like the opera house idea," Angel said. "Um - suppose we could give people a chance to act in it if they wanted. Or a chance to ride the fat horse."
