And then she was back to it, another week of teaching ballet, but at least the end was in sight...until the next semester when she discovered what other new fresh hell the moose in the office cooked up for her. If not, well, I guess we're testing your improvesational skills today. No clip while we warm up today; I'd rather have you just focus on the steps. Once we're done with warm-ups, I'll have each of you try it, figure out what you've got wrong, and then try it all together. And if everyone does a good job, maybe we can get out of here early."

Yeah. Someone wss so not in teacher-mode right now.

Someone was...rarely in teacher mode, in all honesty, but some days she at least tried to not make it obvious.

You can use the stretching time to look over the choreography notes and confer with your classmates over what that word even means and boggle at how that's how it's spelled, because French is a weird, weird language.

But barre work is barre work and you've had a week off, so Rosa's really watching to see whose technique slips up.

Weirdly enough, Vette's technique was still pretty on point.

... Not pointe, because she was not nearly ready for that yet, but in the couple of weeks since the last class, apparently she'd been working on keeping this stuff up.

If anyone called her about it, she was absolutely going to pass it off as innate Twi'lek grace, thanks. It wouldn't do for people to think she actually worked hard at things sometimes.

Breq actually did some practice ~~handwavily~~ between classes, which was probably noticeable. This body apparently compensated for a lack of a good singing voice with a built suitable for dancing, and although Breq would have preferred to have the former, at least she could learn to dance, it seemed.

It's all a series of steps that they've already learned, put together ~~handwavily because I never got around to it~~ simply enough that works as a good display of how these little steps can form a bigger sequence.

Ask questions if you've got them; Rosa'll go over anything you're unsure of before you go, but the plan is to have everyone give it a try on their own in front of their peer first, because who doesn't love that?

"Alright, which one of you guys are brave enough to go first?"

Breq looked around to see if anyone else wanted to go first. She wouldn't mind doing that herself, not at all, but if someone else decided to she'd let them.
