Adulting 101- Monday- 2nd period

Today the Danger Shop looked a lot like a normal suburban neighborhood on a sunny spring day. Nothing like Fandom. There were houses and streets wide enough for two lanes of cars, and things like stop signs and street lights.

"Morning, everybody," Kitty greeted them. "If you've been outside Fandom here, you probably know that how we do things when it comes to transportation is not how other places do things. Namely, cars. If you only stay on island your whole time here, you might never have to drive one of these, but since we have the Danger Shop, why not, right? You're all going to get a turn behind the wheel, and while you should definitely drive carefully, no one can get hurt."

Thank god, because Beaker was in this class.

The most experience that Astrid had with cars, really, was when whoever her mother was dating at the time would pack them into whatever nice convertable they had and go driving up the coast or down to Mexico. She didn't even really know if her mother could even drive, though she supposed nothing would stop Ingrid if she wanted to get behind the wheel of a vehicle, knowledge or not. So she never really gave much thought to her own potential of driving before, either.

So this would be...interesting. And Astrid was going to be going about things with extreme caution for the better part of it. It might be going much more smoothly...figuratively and literally...if she was actually able to take her foot off the brake petal every once in a while.

There may have been at least one moment, though, after another jerking stop, where she wondered if she should just try to go hog wild and turn some donuts in some of these lawns.

It might have been a normal course, but by the time Beaker was through, the stop signs were on the ground, the fire hydrant was spewing water into the street, and a tree was on fire.
