The Art of Honesty, Tuesday 4th Period
"Good news, kids, today you're only going to tell the truth." Wait for the catch, because of course there was going to be one. "Because sometimes the most dishonest lies are the ones composed of selective truths. For example, if a government removes, restricts or subverts any method of public protest, then they can claim the public agrees with them, someone tries to point out that that's because they can't disagree, well, they can be ignored because they didn't use the proper channels for their complaint.Statistics are great for this. There are so many ways those can be manipulated, it'd be a class in an of itself."
Aphra gestured around the room. "So today you have to come up with the most outrageous falsehoods you can think of, and try to get your classmates to believe them without actually saying anything that isn't true."

He was having trouble thinking of an outrageous lie to even begin with. He had several pretty good outrageous truths, but that wasn't what they were going for, was it? So he was going to try to think of something that might work that he didn't just immediately dismiss. Maybe he'd come up with something when put on the spot; he apparently wasn't a very good pre-emptive liar.
