Ballet for Beginners; First Period [02/01].

The music today was some sort of classical electronic remix, and there wasn't any sign of anything that might need to be stabbed today, which meant today's lesson was probably not going to be as much fun, at least not for Rosa. She looked like she just sort of wanted to get through the class period and be done with it, but, really, she sort of looked like that every week.

"When you do your warm-ups today," she said, "pay extra attention to stretching the legs. That's what we'll be working on this week, an introduction to développé, frappé battement, and grand battement. They might seem a little simple, because the concept of doing them is pretty simple, but it's in doing them well and properly that the challenge comes in...and also where their importance comes in, too, because a good solid legwork is pretty crucial when it comes to doing more complicated stuff, and it'll also help with your balance along the line. So we'll do that, revisit chaîné turns before we go, and that's it.

"So, find your spot on the floor, and let's get this over wtih."
