Problem Solving and You!, Thursday, Period 3

The danger shop was set up to look like ye older tavern that your teachers might look more at home in, with a good number of NPC patrons milling about.

"Hail and well met, students!" Magnus said, picking up one of the chairs. Maybe to inspect the make of it.

Cara also picked up a chair, definitely not to examine the fine carpentry. "Normally this is where there'd be introductions." Because she'd been here for far too many first weeks by now. "But that's kind of boring."

Most people didn't react to boredom by flinging a chair into a packed crowd of very surly looking NPCs (including NPCakin, oh how we'd missed you and your terrible hair), Cara.

"Bar fight!" Magnus cheered, immediately changing his grip on the chair to use as a weapon. With bonuses because carpenter/fighter.

Aw yeah.

Cara might have pointed out that none of the class should've been surprised by this. Not even the newbies, the class description had not been subtle. But she'd flung herself after her chair by now.

Have fun kids.

"Um," Tip said. "Hi, puppy. Kind of a bad time to play fetch."

She wasn't trying to play! She was trying to -- oh right, people here weren't as likely to be able to communicate with her in this form, were they?

Keyleth let out a gruff little bark around the table leg in her mouth, shook her head, and dropped it in front of Tip before sitting down and looking at her with an expression that was distinctly more person-like than canine.

The mole on the back of Tip's head flashed purple at that bark, but it was going to need way more input from a canine trying to communicate before it could actually start translating.

Fortunately, that expression spoke volumes. "Okay, are you part of the hologram program, or are you a student?"

Keyleth's ears drooped a bit at the first part of the question, but she perked up visibly upon being asked if she was a student, and barked once, happily. One of the Danger Shop's programmed brawlers came a little too close, and she snapped at their ankle before looking back at Tip and nudging the table leg further in her direction.

"And you got me a weapon," Tip realized, and a smile spread over her face. "Thanks! I'm Tip. Aaaand I guess proper introductions will have to wait until there isn't a simulated bar brawl happening, huh."

Did dogs usually nod? In any case, that head bob had quite the resemblance to a humanoid gesture, and Keyleth's tail was wagging in excitement.

She barked twice, as if to say "Go get 'em!"
