Pay It Forward: Making a Big Difference in Little Ways | Friday, Period 3

"Welcome back," Hera said, smiling at them. "And, um...try to avoid those lights." There were a few strands in the corner that Chopper was standing guard over, shocking them if they looked like they were moving too close. "Next week is our final. We started out this class by discussing what might make new students' lives easier here, so for our last day, we'll be making care packages of information and anything you might think is useful for them. Remember to bring in anything you might want to use, or let us know if there's anything you can think of for us to bring in."

"It can't hurt," Kanan noted, "for you to take a little bit of time this week to consider what things were like for you when you were first adjusting to life on the island. Is there anything you wished you had been told right from the get-go? How about things to make life easier once Fandom actually began to prove all the crazy things people warned you about were true? Take the next week to think that over. We'll put together those care packages then, and you can each take one with you. Maybe you'll get a chance to present it to a new student next month."

"Today," Hera said, "we'll be discussing what you did over the past week to make someone's day brighter. Tell us what you did, and if it worked or not, and how that might mean you do these sorts of things in future."

"And if doing those things impacted your own day in any particular way, let us know that, too," Kanan added. "Not that any of us are in this for our own benefit, necessarily, but it can't hurt to take note if making others happy happens to make you happy, too."

Oh, sure. Encourage Sidon to stand there and swell up with even more pride than he was carrying naturally that day.

"I believe that I can report with irrefutable evidence," he declared, "that leaving notes for someone to help make their day brighter is remarkably effective, though I feel that going into the details in these matters would be most indelicate."

Sidon, you literally had one of the teachers of this class help you write the notes in question. And that grin wasn't doing much to hide anything, either.

"And the fact that my own week improved significantly because of it, too," he continued, "is indeed an added bonus. I do fully intend to continue to explore other magnificent ways of improving other's days through little," nope, still didn't seem to know the meaning of that word when applied to this situation, "ways!"

...as if he wasn't pretty much already doing that sort of thing anyway.

Look, as much as he liked to deny it, Kanan totally did get warm fuzzies when he did nice things that made people happy.

Also, shut up.

Sabine was here. There might still be a bulb and a little piece of wire stuck at the edge of her glove after a bit of a battle this morning. (She'd won.)
