There were no teachers today. Just a plate of cookies (lemon blueberry strudel) and a note, on the front desk, along with an envelope.

The note read: To whoever gets here first: Congratulations! Within this envelope is a $150 gift card to Sushi Station, to use as you see fit! Will you wait around for your classmates and take them all out for something small, or will you enjoy all of it for yourself? The choice is yours, after all.

Was this a test? Was this just the teachers feeling generous? Who knew!

But, really, what would a friend do?

There was TOTALLY a sushi party, family-style! Though Yang might end up claiming the Winner's Prerogative if it came down to the last piece of something particularly tasty.

"Yang!" Sidon greeted her with a bright smile and a slight bow of his head, before a pump of his fist punctuated his words. "Has anyone told you yet how wonderful you are? Your generosity has me absolutely amazed! Thank you! My stomach and I are truly grateful!"

It was hard not to be so pleased with free sushi, really.
