Bad Ass Bitch Survival Guide; Tuesday, Second Period [11/13].
The students for Rosa's class would find instructions on the classroom door to make their way into town and to the desginated warehouse, and if they had trouble finding it...what the hell was wrong with them? How could they not find it? That was not her problem.
But assuming they could all do a decent job of finding it, they'd be rewarded by walking into a pretty sweet set-up with a variety of weapons laid out on a few racks and tables she and Blackstone had brought in, a scattering of practice dummies, and yes, all those mats because Kanan was a nerd about things like safety or whatever.
"Today we're talking about weapons," in case they hadn't figured that out. "Melee and hand combat weapons this week, firearms next week, so if any of you are all stuck up about firepower and can't understand the usefulness of a good blade in a close situation," those people were the worst, "don't worry, we'll get to it." She figured her kids were smarter than that, though. "I figured you've all got some level of experience with some weapons, but today might be a good chance to either pick up some more experience with things you're already familiar with or get the chance to...." She stopped herself a little, play around with didn't seem like a very...teacherly way to put it, so she tried to think of something that didn't make it sound like this was just an excuse to spend the class...playing around with weapons, which was exactly what it was, "try something new, so I had Blackstone here," she hitched a thumb to the other teacher helping her out with the class today, "bring down a variety from her shop. Hopefully, there's something new in there you haven't seen before that you can try out. If not...damn. Props. Maybe focus on something you're a little less familiar with than the others. If you're really unsure how to best use a weapon, just ask. Blackstone and I can both show you how to safely wield it, and if we see you using it like an idiot, we're going to stop you anyway. Get a feel for the weapons with the practice dummies there; do not use them against each other or I'll cut off your hands."
Not really. That was a metaphor! Because she obviously would be fired if she actually did it, even if you really deserved it.
"If you do prefer to practice with a partner," she added, cocking her head toward the mats, "there's bamboo practice swords over by the mats. Knock yourself out." Beat. "Not literally. Don't make them have to start making me use the Danger Shop for this kind of thing. I don't care what anyone says, it's just not the same."
And she couldn't really figure it out, besides. Shut up.
"So, go ahead, have a look at what we've got, let either of us know if you have questions or want to know anything more about any particular weapon, and see how you like them. But, goddammit, be respectful and not a moron. It's nice enough of Blackstone to let us use her weapons and for Jarrus to let us use his space, so if any of you screw anything up, we're watching nothing but old and badly acted weapons safety and human resources videos from the NYPD's archives for the rest of the semester."
And nobody wanted that.
Well, maybe Geller might, but she was pretty weird anyway.

Listen to the Lecture - BABSG, 11/13.
There probably should be more of one.
But Rosa was very much a 'learn best by potential injury' kind of a teacher, anyway.
Re: Listen to the Lecture - BABSG, 11/13.
... And making the mental note: This was Jarrus' warehouse. Muwaha.
Re: Listen to the Lecture - BABSG, 11/13.
And now she knew where she'd have to recreate something with paint when something embarrassing or annoying happened to him.
Class Activity - BABSG, 11/13.
Needless to say, the options are varied. And moddable. See what catches your interest, ask a little about it, then try it out on a practice dummy.
Or choose to head to the mats with a partner and just worked with the bamboo swords against each other. First one to even think about heading to the mats with live steel gets a bo staff to the knee caps.
Re: Class Activity - BABSG, 11/13.
The other half was the fact that she just felt totally badass while she was taking swings at the dummy. Ha! Take that!

Oooo, the flails looked fun, though, and the one she’d picked up had a blue glow around the striking head as she twirled it around faster than it should have been moving, given its weight. Mass effect fields were handy.
Re: Class Activity - BABSG, 11/13.
"Please use the empty space to your advantage with some of these weapons," she called out, hoping no one was dumb enough to get too close to a blue girl having way too much fun swinging around a giant metal ball with far too many spikes on a chain on a stick, anyway. "And make sure your grip is good if you are swinging them around, too."
She will superglue hands to shafts and hilts, people, don't think that she won't.

"Yeah, let's just not get the point where yanking things back needs to be an option in the first place?" Rosa suggested.
Just to...put that out there. Food for thought.
Re: Class Activity - BABSG, 11/13.
She made a swoopy figure eight kind of move with it. Whee!
"Perfectly safe, see?"
Re: Class Activity - BABSG, 11/13.
The daggers, though...she could stand to get better with those. They were a good idea for close-in work. So she'd be adapting her technique to them and seeing what she could do. Sneak-attacking a dummy wasn't quite the same as trying on a live person, but she could at least work on the moves.
