"You've all had several weeks' respite," Hannibal told the class as they settled in, so today we'll be trying something a little more complicated. Pork soup dumplings." He brought out his own to share. "The proper way to eat these is to nibble a hole in it, slurp out the soup, then eat the rest. I have plenty of napkins should that prove a problem."

He nodded towards their setups. "You should all have all the ingredients you need. I look forward to seeing what you come up with."

Okay. Time to focus. And take his time and not rush through it, which was going to be hard because he was out of practice now, too.

If they were getting graded on effort, Prompto would definitely pass this one, although perhaps his own effort was his downfall, too, as he had moments were it was clear he was getting a little too wrapped up in getting it right, which lead to little frustrations here and there. But he was on the right track, managed to get to the point of filling his dumplings without too many problems, though he very clearly was overfilling the dumplings at first, realized it after the first few, and adjusted accordingly. The pleating work he actually did really well, his fingers were good with little fussy work like that, but pinching them closed, he managed to split a couple before he figured that out.

So...some failures, some successes, and he was confident that at least four perfect dumplings, but the rest were really a shining testament to diversity.

Hannibal looked them over and nodded, prodding them with chopsticks. "A little overenthusiastic at first, but you learned as you went. An admirable showing."

He tasted them. "Hm. Perhaps a trifle salty, but overall, not bad."
