The Circle of Life, Monday Third Period
There was a dummy at the head of class today. And it wasn't named Wade.
"That was just mean," he muttered, crossing his arms over his chest. "I knew this medium would go this way. I just knew it."
It wasn't named Vanessa, either, but Vanessa was confused. "I thought we were saving the tips about the fortuneteller for the week of Halloween."
"But that's forever away," Wade replied, going up to draw big ol' x's on the dummy's face and center mass of the torso. "Today we're gonna practice with the wink wink nudge nudge self defense! Always go for the kill shot. Otherwise you open yourself up to a not fun murder sequel where they bring in a new guy who is sorta hot, but mostly just annoying with his cool guns and his edgy DC attitude..."
He really sort of trailed off there.
"What was I talking about?"
"The kill shot, babe." This was not Vanessa's field, so she was mostly here for moral support this week.
"Yes, the kill shot!" Which was what you all were looking for, right? "So, you all are gonna practice on this dummy. Or another one once you adorable lil' sort of mutants demolish it."
Wait, Vanessa remembered something that could be helpful! "Aim for the head or center mass. And don't forget to return your pregnancy bellies

It had made a...decent video game cushion. And was currently covered in Cheeto dust and at least one Mountain Dew stain. Did they really even want it back? Really?

Which was still weird to think about preferring, but it wasn't real stuff they were killing, so it was okay! And it didn't involve pregnancy bellies that made you worry about your dumb fat thighs!
Prompto was happily shooting away, and getting that sweet kill shot more often than not, thank you very much.
