Humanoid Health and First Aid, Wednesday, Period 1

The Danger Shop was set up like a computer lab today, the old school kind with the giant monitors. Basically it looked just like the computer labs she'd had in her high school -- only with faster internet access.

"Midterm day," Cristina said. "You're doing research projects. You're going to research a medical condition and present it to the class." She smirked. "Bonus points for the person who can find the weirdest, grossest one!"

Paris chewed on her lower lip. "Definitely not poking them?" she offered, "but other than that, I really don't know. What did you do?"

"We did not poke her," Cristina said with a small smirk. "There wasn't much we could do for her by the time she got to us, but carefully avoiding bumping or injuring her was a big part of her treatment plan. She had a single vein we could use for blood tests. Her daughter kicked anyone she deemed not gentle enough off her case."

"Eh, she was by definition pretty non-surgical," Cristina said. "I let some of the other interns have her while I amputated a guy's foot due to diabetes complications."

Plus, there'd been the whole "exboyfriend versus pouting fiancee" debacle, but Paris didn't need to know about all that.

Cristina gave her a long, considering look.

"I don't know yet," she said finally. "You're doing alright so far, but we haven't even gotten to the really bloody stuff, yet."
