On the board this week was a pyramid. Well, actually a triangle because neither teacher did 3D art well.

"Today is all about business!" Magnus said. "And planning businesses."

That was the extent of his knowledge on the subject.

"I still don't see how the people at the bottom make money," Cara said, because why give a lecture when you could continue a previous conversation.

"They don't. That's capitalism." Magnus, no. "Which is why we need to rise up and smash the system!"

"You'd probably make more that way too." Cara, no. "Or raiding a real pyramid."

CARA, YOU'RE A GENIUS.

"...can... can we program this place to fight spooky mummies and loot treasure?"

"Probably." At the very least she could tell him about the time she defeated an evil magic mummy.

Magnus fistpumped at that. "To the Danger Shop, kids!"

Well, this class took a turn, didn't it?

Because it went off rails super quick.

Yeah, the level at which they started compared to the level at which they ended up in this was one of the best things about Thursdays for Prompto. They were totally stepping up their game from fighting easels, and how could he not completely love the fact that, except for cooking class, the Danger Shop was literally just an interactive video game.

Actually, considering some of the games he'd been playing at work, even cooking class was like a video game.

Like his whole world was just one big video game.

Oh, hey, was there something going on with that fourth wall over there? Oh, well. Probably just a glitch.

There was a super simplistic mummy and treasure chest because Magnus didn't paint his word pictures nearly as well as Griffin could.

But it was there are ready for a fight.

Hellz ye-heah! Prompto was so ready for this, although once he was faced with an actual mummy and thought about how his weapons right now were his fists and wondering if, you know, that would actually be kind of gross just punching something that's been dead for hundreds of years, he considered getting the most out of some high kicks instead. But, of course, grace was not always his strong point.

Ugh, he couldn't wait until he was able to just magically summon weapons!

But, hey, pyramids were old, and made of rock. Old rocks. Old rocks that crumbled, and so Prompto was going to start with picking up chunks of rock and just hurling them at the mummy. Every party needed a range fighter, right? Range fighters were important! And this one had really great aim, so there.
