Self-Care for Optimal Stabbing, Thursday

Class was in Caritas today. The zombie band was playing, Magnus and Cara were sipping drinks, and Tino was glaring daggers at Cara to very little avail.

"So sometimes you need to drink something a bit stronger than those pouches claiming to be juice."

"And also make 'm frozen," Magnus added. "Man, I love a good Frosé."

Which existed where he was from.

"Now, we're not encouraging any if you guys to drink because that'd be irresponsible."

"Mostly because this land's attitudes to drink mean none of you actually know how to handle it." Cara, no.

Magnus tilted his head thoughtfully. "That's fair. That's fair."

They were such good teachers. "So amusing as it would be to make you all deal with hangovers tomorrow as an object lesson, you won't be drinking in class today." She took another sip of her drink.

Good teachers.

"Because a drink, in moderation," he emphasized before sipping his frozen concoction. "Can be good! But you gotta learn moderation."

"Exactly."

"Strawberry sunrise, no ice. Oh! And one of those little umbrellas," Yang said with the supreme confidence of a seventeen-year-old girl who had gotten her way on this particular topic more than once, sometimes in bars where she was already banned, as she leaned on the bar and gave Tino a very winning smile.

Look, she wasn't saying that she wanted the alcoholic version. That decision was gonna be up to what's-his-face behind the bar there. If she got one, great. If not? Still great, because she had a tasty tasty mocktail with a tiny umbrella. And tiny umbrellas? ALWAYS the best.
