Today's flight class was meeting at the top of the Rocky Bits, where Anakin was waiting for them with safety helmets and hang gliders. "Simulations are fun," Anakin said, "but they're really no substitution for the wind in your air and the joy of actually flying." He smiled and waved at the hang gliders. "Thus, gliders today."

He ran them through the instructions for flying the gliders--basically "get a good run, then hold the hell on"--and handed out the helmets. "Have fun," he said. "This is a really fun way to see the island."

There was a pause.

"Try not to crash into any of the buildings. Aim for the beach for landing."

Sabine would prefer her own helmet, but she hadn't brought it to class, so she didn't mind this one.

Her goal was mainly to see what she could make this thing do. Which might not be advisable, but that's why she had a helmet, right?
