Aphra wasn't anywhere to be seen today, and Theron was at the front of the class, looking deeply uncomfortable.

"I'm not sure why I'm the one who has to deliver the message, but apparently our teacher is off making bad life choices." The text had actually said that. "And we should just 'do the thing'. So does anyone want to guess what 'the thing' is?"

"Does the thing involve leaving without doing anything?" Sabine asked, like she exkected that to actually be the right answer.

"The thing could be many things," Theron said dryly. "We had an entire class on not doing it last semester."

"That's terrifying, and also makes a lot of sense," Sabine decided.

"I'm still not sure how she ended up qualified to teach," Theron said. "Or most of our teachers, to be honest."

"Well, look at some of the classes," she pointed out.
