The Chef looks a little sad today. Could it be he misses his Muppet friends at home? Could it be because he can't find his watch and hasn't seen it since he made that chocolate cake? ~~Could it be because the mun's basketball team lost during the last .8 seconds of the game last night?~~ The world may never know.

Nadia grabbed some Greelled Cheese-a Sundveeches and Chuculete-a Ceke-a, because cheese and chocolate made everything better, added a bit of habernero powder to her sundveeches, and grabbed a table in the corner, where she could watch the room ~~and escape if Victor or Walter showed up~~.

Pippi flounces over with a little bit of everything.

"Hey." she says cheerfully.

Nadia smiled up at Pippi. "Hi. I haven't seen you ~~or anyone~~ in awhile, how are you?"

"I'm feeling okay actually." she said. "I'm a little conserned about Victor though."

Nadia frowned. "What happened to Victor?"

Oh god, Walter had told him and he'd exploded, and it was all Nadia's fault. . . .

"Remember when we had those wierd powers? And Bridge was checking us all 'auraly'?"

And he'd discovered that Nadia was somehow a Chosen One? Yeah, she wasn't going to forget that.

"Yeah,"

"Remember the Victor was sitting with us, and Bridge looked at him even though he didn't have a power, and said that there was some kind of change going on?"

She hadn't really been paying that much attention, but she nodded anyway, hoping Pippi would get to the point. "So what happened?"

"He shed his skin and grew claws." she said finally getting to the point. "He almost suffocated to death in his own skin."

She opened her soda and took a sip.

"I was thinking about offering to give him a manicure to cheer him up. What do you think?"

To say that Nadia was shocked would be an understatement. "What? When--what? Is he--madre del dios!"

"Yesterday morning." she said, "He didn't understand why he couldn't breathe and was understandably a little freaked out. He scratched himself and Walter up a bit trying to get it off him but everybody's fine."

Nadia's jaw remained agape. There was a brief bit of panicky flailing at the idea of Walter getting scratched up, but Pippi said they were all okay. . . . which made her pounce on the next conclusion.

Victor now had built in weapons. He really was going to kill her.

She gave Pippi a weak smile. "Only in Fandom, huh?"

"I guess." she said with a shrug.

"So... How exactly did you kissing Walter turn Lucas into a tree?"

Queen of the segway, that's our Pippi.

Nadia would have headdesked, or headtabled, but her food was in the way. Instead, she had to facepalm. "The tree thing came first, actually."

So much for never speaking of it again. . . .

"How did you find out about the kissing?"

"Victor said something about it."

She continued to munch on her food casually.

Nadia went paler than she'd been under the goth make up at the play.

Her life was over. She'd have to run away. Become a nun. A singing nun who nannied for three singing children and fights Nazis. ~~Maybe she could borrow Artie's wimple?~~

"it was an accident," she whimpered.

"Yeah, that's what he said." nodded Pippi.

"I just got confused I guess. I thought it had something to do with how Lucas was a tree... Good apples though."

"You ate--" Nadia shook her head. Pippi was a very strange girl, but she knew that already. That was part of why she liked her. "Walter came over to help me figure out how to help Lucas, and I tried to kiss him on the cheek, but he turned his head. How did me kissing Walter come up in conversation?"

And did Victor look at all murderous when he mentioned it?

"No, he said he thought it was hilarious."

Oh, crap, had she said that outloud?

"Hilarious." Nadia's face darkened. "I'm so glad I amuse him so much." She stabbed a fork at her cake. Her appetite was pretty much gone.

Well, at least she didn't have to worry about getting dead. Or getting dead by Victor, anyway.

"I've got to get to the student council meeting." Pippi said getting up.

"I'll see ya around okay?"

Nadia did her best to smile up at Pippi. She was pretty sure she just managed to chase her friend away with her bad mood, now.

Yeah, she was doing real well, this week.

"Okay. Have fun,"

CJ comes into the caf to snag a salad and notices the Chef looks down, so she gives him a big hug because zomg I know!!! WTF was that? .8 seconds on the clock?!?!? That's only in the movies, right? *weeps*

Cally sits in the lunchroom, munching a grilled cheese sandwich, which she dips in her tomato soup.

Mmmm, what a meal.
