Class had been handwaily advised to meet at Portalocity, and Hannibal greeted the students when they arrive with a smile that was a bit more predatory than usual.
"Today was to have been a special opportunity for...well, it would involve many sharp objects and careful concentration. Suffice it to say, we will have to put it off to next week."

"So, this week we're taking another field trip. I hope it will prove interesting." And hopefully a bit of a relief.
He led them through the portal and to Tennessee. "We will be touring several farms, and they will offer gourmet food. Please, enjoy."
Hannibal would try not to fiddle with the scalpel in his pocket too much.

...or so she thought. Silly, silly Summer, forgetting how absolutely hot farmhands could be. Damn.
It was going to take more than a portal to get her to calm down, apparently.
