[OOC: I could have sworn I posted this. Maybe it was a dream. If it was, I really need to get a life and stop dreaming about posting FH classes.]

Topic: Music from Melmac.
Professor Ted: Probably hungover.

"Afternoon dudes. Today we're talking about music from a most rocking planet named Melmac. Melmac's national anthem was "Dance till you drop" by Homer T. Swipe. The Melmacians were a totally musical species. Also, when they go to college, they have to sign up for 63 years. Combine a long college life with a naturally rocktastic group and you've got some most excellent music from Melmac."

Discussion: "If you were stuck in school for a long time, what kind of role would music play in your life? Would you start writing music yourself to pass the time? What kind of lyrics would you use?"

"If you were stuck in school for a long time, what kind of role would music play in your life? Would you start writing music yourself to pass the time? What kind of lyrics would you use?"

"It'd be a stress reliever. Kind of an escape from the tyranny of teachers and boredom. I probably wouldn't write any music or lyrics."

The thought of school, just school, for a long time wasn't really something that appealed to D'anna. Better nature or otherwise. From the look on her face, one might assume that Professor Logan had just asked her if she'd like to spend the rest of her life on a planet populated entirely by frogs.

"I guess it would serve as a stress reliever at first, and eventually as a last resort to stop insanity. My own lyrics might come after the insanity."

"I would probably listen to a lot of music to pass the time and distract me," Angela agreed. "If I got bored enough, I might write angsty pretty songs, ike Mary Lou Lord stuff."

"I write stuff sometimes now, so I'd probably keep writing it if I was stuck in school for that long. And I bet after I'd been in school a couple decades the lyrics would get really, really repetitive."

"Music would be entertainment and for relaxing," John says. "I don't think I have the ability to really write music but I'd listen to just about anything if I was stuck in school for a long time. And there should be tons of pirate songs if we were stuck in school."

"Music would definitely be what I'd use to relax," Chloe says. "Any music I tried to create would be really unpleasant, let me tell you. But listening to it would probably play a big role in keeping me sane."

"I would listen to a lot of music to pass the time," Zero said. "And I would probably write angry anti-establishment music about how we shouldn't have to be in school for so long. And stuff."

"It be loud and obnoxious in the hopes of making myself deaf so I don't have to hear the same classes over and over," Cameron says.

"It'd be a stress reliever, I guess. I'd probably start writing after the first three hours, because knowing you can't leave? Makes it a lot worse."
