Creative Weaponry; First Period, Tuesday [02/20].
If Amaya had gotten to know the students in her class as well as she thought, she knew they'd be pretty excited to walk into the Danger Shop that week to find actual weapons waiting for them. Nothing fancy, pretty basic stuff, quarterstaffs and clubs, short swords and daggers, slings and darts. There were also plenty of tools, as well. Hammers, metal cutters, wrenches, screwdrivers, even a blow torch if someone wanted to get really involved. And supplies. Woods, pieces of metal, lots of nails, rope, so on. Of course, there was also large spinning wheel like you'd find on a game show and three doors in the wall behind it, so she also assumed they were smart enough to deduce that there'd be a catch.
"Today I thought I'd throw something a little different at you," Amaya said with a grin, being a little too proud of her own work this week. "As you can see, I'm providing you with actual weapons and tools this week. Well, they're fake, because of..." She gestured her hand around the danger shop, "but they're actual fake weapons. You get what I mean. Please, please, please, if you want to use something, but don't really know how, ask and I will show you. Don't go rushing into it like an idiot, I don't want to be held responsible for actual fake injuries. So you have your weapons, you have your tools, you have..."
And she gestured proudly to the wheel. "Your random item. Take turns stepping up to the wheel, give it a spin, and it'll give you the random item that must be incorporated into your weapon somehow. Preferably in a significant way. Once your weapon is ready, then you'll go up to one of these doors. A monster awaits behind these doors, and there's another aspect. You don't know what the monster will be until after you've opened the door. So not only do you have to think about your item and how to incorporate it, but you also have to think about versatility. Won't you just feel silly working so hard on a perfect weapon for an aerial foe, only to get yourself a ground-dwelling giant worm! Of course, your ability to adapt your weapons in a moment's notice is an important part of creative weaponry, too."
She grinned a little, feeling pretty confident that, no matter what she threw at them, they'd succeed just as they had so far (for the most part). "And you know I'm here if you have any questions or need anything, so someone hop on up, give the wheel a spin, and let's get to work!"

Work on your Weapons - Weaponry, 02/20.
Aloy: a large magnifying glass
Maria DeLuca: a bronze box containing a tiny wooden owel
FN-2187: a pouch containing ten dried peas
Mara Jade: a leather shoe made for a dog
Yang Xiao Long: a brass prosthetic nose
Kaylin Neya: an oval-shaped soapstone tablet inscribed with a short list of religious prohibitions
Ringo Noyamano: a small handbook of foreign coins, for travelers to identify denominations
Peebee: a wig of short platinum-blonde hair
Jason Lee Scott: illustrated instructions on how to make a paper hat
Ahsoka Tano: a travel set of paints (someone has used up all the black)
Gratuity Tucci: a wax hand shaped to hold a large cup
Uma: a bundle of ragged "treasure maps" drawn by inventive local children
Once they have their items, the students have full range of the basic moddable weapons (again, nothing too fancy) and the range of simple tools and supplies to help them construct something that uses their random item into a weapon.
