Barbossa stood up, grinning.

"As ye may have noticed, I were not around much these last few weeks. That were because me old mate, Blind Jimmy, be gettin' me t' aid him with a bit o' art reclamation, as it were. It be takin' us a while t' get back because Blind Jimmy, he be not able t' see, and he be a mite touchy about havin' anyone help him wit' the navigatin' bits. So we be comin' back t' Fandom by way o' South America, as it happened. Long way around." Barbossa paused. "Also, Blind Jimmy be a bit anxious t' miss any chance o' runnin' into Crazy Jane, the ex-girlfriend o' his who be makin' him change his name from Flirtin' Jimmy t' Blind Jimmy in the first place."

He cleared his throught. "Anyway. We be findin' ourselves t'be the proud owners o' some lovely shiny gold that the Spanish ship it be on originally not not properly appreciatin', as it were. It be good t'be back, though."

Isabel signed in and made a handwavey speech on a handwavey topic. It was defintely not one of her better attempts. But absolutely no sleep the night before and entirely too much emo have taken their toll, even if she is somewhat amused by Bel's shadow puppet show in the TA lounge.

Bel gives a speech on why clear communication is key, citing how using vague hand motions can be misinterpreted to mean anything from "There's a spider on your shoulder" to "My hovercraft is full of eels. and other humorous examples. He makes eye contact with Isabel, hoping to make her smile.

Phoebe gives a speech how misunderstandings in body language which can cause all kind of amusing problems. It's obvious that she's speaking from personal experience as she is fighting hard not to giggle.

Alanna delivered a speech and managed to be a little funny. Her usual humor is more of a spontaneous variety though, so this is hard.
