It was Martin Luther King Day in many versions of America, today, so Tip was spending her time at the library engaged in some traditional MLK Day celebrations.
Arguing with racist white people on Twitter.
"Oh my god. Tell me this dude is not actually trying to tell me that Dr. King would have voted for Trump." Tip had to set her phone down for a moment and walk away, ranting as she went, to reshelve books with more angry vigor than was strictly called for. She looked at Bill. "I don't suppose you take dictation?"
Bill hovered thoughtfully, then answered with a bubble version of the poop emoji.
"This is why I love you, Bill. You really good at getting right to the point."
