Josh was grinning as he waited for the US History class to arrive.

"So," he began, "I think we're still talking about the Civil War, but I've been gone for a month, so I could be wrong."

He looked around the class. "What did your substitutes cover?"

Lana looks as if she's been up all night crying, but she manages a half-hearted smile. "We covered Gettysburg and Women's Rights. We also talked about what we felt was the most significant historical event we'd covered and did research on any event in US History that we wanted. I'm really glad you're back, Professor Lyman."

Josh looked concerned at Lana's expression. "I'm glad to be back," he said, giving her a small smile. "What historical event did you pick?"

"I talked about the US liberation of concentration camps (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/710467.html?thread=33945923#t33945923) during World War II," Lana replies.

"Good choice," Josh said, nodding.
