US History (Wednesday, March 22, 7th period)

Josh was grinning as he waited for the US History class to arrive.

"So," he began, "I think we're still talking about the Civil War, but I've been gone for a month, so I could be wrong."

He looked around the class. "What did your substitutes cover?"

"It's good to have you back, man!" Blair took out his notes and looked them over. "We took our midterms, talked about women's rights, a significant moment in history, Gettysburg and vikings." He stopped and checked again.

"Um...probably not that last bit."

Josh laughed. "Were you taught by a talking eagle, too? That's what the government class was telling me."

"Nope, no eagle." Blair shrugged. "Unless that last guy turned into an eagle at some point in his lecture. I sorta got distracted."

"Not the most fascinating lecturer, huh?" Josh grinned.

"Oh, I'm sure he knew what he was talking about and we probably learned a lot. It was just...boring."

"Plus he spent a long time talking about Bueller or something. Is that going to be on the test?"

Josh frowned. "Bueller? No, I don't see why it would be. I don't know what that is, or who, or whatever. Maybe it was the eagle's name or something."
