Taking Time For You, Wednesday, Second Period

"We need to talk about water," Vanessa said. "Water is important. You should drink a lot of it, unless you're from a species where water is bad, in which case, disregard this advice. I tend to consume my liquids in the form of booze or coffee, and those are bad. Don't be like me. You'll feel way better if you just drink your water in water form, although obviously if you're caffeine-addicted you shouldn't just cut that out. If you're an alcoholic in high school then you're beyond my pay grade. Now, there are all sorts of tips and tricks out there to remind you to drink more water--apps for your phone, life hacks like labeling bottles, et cetera, et cetera. You just have to figure out what works for you.

"Now, confession time, I didn't come up with a clever water-related activity for this class, so we're going to watch a movie that takes place in the water. Enjoy!"

Yeah, Yang didn't get candy hangovers. Yang converted all that sugar into energy and it was awesome.

Sidon was absolutely glued to the film, utterly enraptured. What a terribly romantic story between someone of the sea and someone of the land, something that he had a natural fascination with for so many reasons. And he was so pleased to have such a happy ending, and that her father (who reminded him an awful lot of the Elders!) finally came around to accept such a cross-species union.

Just wait until he finds out it was based on a story, and then he goes to look that original story up....
