Sure, someone could question just how all that ice cream was staying cold and not-melty without any immediately apparent means of refrigeration?

But really, of all the should-be-impossible things Fandom makes possible on a near-daily basis, this one at least was fairly benign. And delicious. So shh, don't question it, just enjoy it.

[OCD Up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Peridot nodded her head a little at that.

"Well," she drawled, looking thoughtful, "if you ever need any help with that..." She smiled a bit. "You helped me save my reality's Earth. I would be happy to return the favor."

Peridot... had never really said a goodbye before. She wasn't quite certain how to approach it.

"A day or two," Jalian said. "They'll have a portal for me soon, back to the time and place I came from. Then I'll use my Doorway to get when I need to."

"More time to plan, then." She paused. "Though I suppose if you can travel through time and space, you can buy more time using Portalocity, if not your Doorway anyway..."

Jalian nodded. "Portalocity says they can only get me back to when I left from. But then I will go back to long before Armageddon, to have plenty of time. And I've learned quite a bit by living here, about the people of this time and the history."

"Mostly that they're all insane?" Peridot meant that affectionately, for what it was worth. This entire planet was crazy. But it was getting to be more like home every day.

Peridot blinked, and then smiled faintly, standing and bowing to Jalian in turn.

"And thank you for yours," she replied. "It was... good... having somebody here who made sense. I'll miss that."
