Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Sure, someone could question just how all that ice cream was staying cold and not-melty without any immediately apparent means of refrigeration?

But really, of all the should-be-impossible things Fandom makes possible on a near-daily basis, this one at least was fairly benign. And delicious. So shh, don't question it, just enjoy it.

[OCD Up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"I'll look too," Alluka said, beaming, glad to have something to look for that'd help Papa Jono. "Though, though right now I'm not working. Sparkle said I could take a break until the store is better."

It had gotten sick or something? Alluka didn't really know. Sparkle had been deliberately vague, which was probably for the best since Alluka would've cried over the destruction of Demon Marcus.

"Quite right," Hannibal said. "But I'm certain it will be better soon. And Papa Jono will always need new clothing."

As she laughed at that, since it was true, she reached for her plate of chocolate things.

"What about you?" she asked. "Are, are you looking for new things too?"

Not that Papa Hannibal really needed them, but then, Alluka didn't need half the things in her closet either.

"I am always looking for new things," Hannibal said, since that was also quite true. "I'm less likely to need them, but I'm also happy to try them on should you find something for me."

He wouldn't promise to wear them, but then, Alluka did have a strong fashion sense, even if it did tend toward the frilly.

Well, she was a frilly sort of girl! Though Alluka was perfectly capable of finding clothes to suit other fashion types too.

"I'll keep an eye out for you too," she promised happily, surveying her chocolate. "Oh! Papa Hannibal, do you know how to make ice cream?"

"I do," Hannibal said. "Why? Did you want to eat some, or help me make it?"

Alluka looked torn for a moment, then asked, hopefully, "Can't I do both?"

"Of course you can," Hannibal assured her. "If you'd like, we can make it, and then eat it. Should we make cookies or cake to go with it?"

She had to think about that, since both of those things would be delicious with ice cream.

"Cake," she settled on, finally. "Um, um maybe a strawberry cake?"

And then she could have chocolate ice cream to go with it! She wasn't sure if Papa Hannibal would let her have chocolate everything, after all.

"That depends upon what sort of ice cream we make," Hannibal said. "Did you want something usual, or something a little different?"

She consulted with her bunny.

"Can something different still have some chocolate it in?" she checked.

"It can have anything that you like," Hannibal said. "Spices, peppers, wine or beer, miso - they would all go well with chocolate."

"That's an awful lot of choices," Alluka mused. "Have you tried them all?"

"I have, though it's been some time," Hannibal said. He grinned. "We could even make all of them, and you can take the extra back to your room to share with friends."

The ones that would eat it, or the stuffed kind; whichever.

Her eyes went big and delighted.

"We could do all of them?!"

"We could," Hannibal said. "Then you'd know which one you like best."

"How would we find a cake that goes with everything then, though?" Alluka wasn't sure any cake could go with all the chocolate types he'd listed.

"We would have to make it simply chocolate," Hannibal said. Then, because this was Alluka, "or many kinds of chocolate. That would go with any of those."

Alluka was learning all sorts of things today!

"You can make one cake that's many kinds of chocolate?"

She was pretty sure Papa Hannibal was a magician.

"You can," Hannibal said. "You flavor it with chocolate, and put pieces of chocolate in it, and you can use dark chocolate, or milk, or even white."

He was a magician of food!

And great was his power!

"And it manages to taste like all of the kinds?" she asked.

"Of course," Hannibal said. "They go very well together."
