BWI Airport Portalocity Lounge, Saturday Morning

BWI had long since given up asking questions about the lounge with the glittery banner, and definitely didn't blink at the antics of the crowd that usually showed up. Generally, they did their best to ignore it all and pretend nothing ever happened.

Which was perfectly fine with Yang, because it meant no one was giving her dirty looks for taking her gauntlets apart and putting them back together, or telling her to get her boots off the furniture, or yelling at her for shooting balls of paper at the wall out of boredom.

If more people didn't start showing up, though, she was going to be So. Bored. It was going to be a shitty training camp if she was the only person there, though dad wouldn't have been so enthused about her getting accepted to it if it sucked.

Whatever. She could sprawl on this couch and play games on her scroll until something more interesting happened, which would hopefully be soon.

"Yang Xiau Long! What a superb name!" And Sidon kneeled to better take her hand and offer ot a princely kiss as if offering it to Princess Zelda herself. And should she not wish to receive the courtly gesture, he planned to smoothly talk away any awkwardness to follow as he straighted again.

"My father is a wise ruler, indeed, and has sent me to all thr kingdoms of Hyrule so that I might be more knowledgeable, except the Gerudo Desert, of couse." And he chuckled as if anyone would know why that was obvious. "And now I venture to other lands, to see what wisdom they may have to share. The Elders were against st it, but the Elders fail to accept that the world is much different in this time of the Great Calamity."

Uh, that was totally not what she was expecting, but okay, sure. "Smooth," she said approvingly. "But I only understood, like, fifty percent of what you just said."

"And that miscomprehension is entirely a failure on my part," Sidon ducked his head apologetically, though he was smiling, scary as that smile could often unintentionally be. "This land is just so different from my own! And clearly untouched by the ravages of Calamity Ganon, but it is all I have known for most of my life. It is a horrible plague, one that has nearly left my homeland destroyed, but that is a grim topic for a pleasant event such as this. Let us step away from Hyrule for a moment and perhaps speak of your home! Where do you come from, Yang Xiao Long?"

"Is Hyrule part of Menagerie?" Because yeah, Yang had no idea what he was going on about. "But I'm from Patch, in Vale."

"And now," Sidon laughed, "it it my turn to not understand anything you are saying, Yang Xioa Long. I suppose Hyrule could be a part of Menagerie; this is my first time outside of Hyrule, so I am uncertain of any sort of classifications of the world as a larger whole. Patch and Vale, as locations, are not familiar to my ears, either."
