Getting to Know Your Own Backyard Two, Monday, Period 1
"So, sharks," Kanan said, leaning back against a desk. In a classroom. Students had been sent a message to meet there instead of their usual destination in the junkyard. "We kind of didn't get much of a chance to figure out a destination this week on account of throwing them into the eye of a hurricane. So the Ghost smells like dead fish and the junkyard is... precarious. We're calling in our slack-off week today."
"It was this or make you all clean the cargo hold," Hera said with a wry smile. "So instead we're watching a movie. I was going to go for a holo, but apparently it's hard to get them here, so it's something local instead. This one's supposed to be about space exploration, so at least it's on topic?"
"It's like a lesson in basic space safety," Kanan offered. "One of those 'based on a true story' deals."
Yeah. It was Apollo 13 day.

... Which is probably disappointing when you could be exploring Pluto or something.

Lecture
Re: Lecture
Please, teachers, fellow students, random-passers-by to the classroom... come take some of these pies off his hands.
Re: Lecture
"Ooo, don't mind if I do."
Re: Lecture
You know, as opposed to before, when things in Fandom had absolutely been calm.

Since for her stress relief usually involved zero gravity or sex or maybe both.
". . . also this is really good, wow," she added with her mouth full.
Re: Lecture
Eric couldn't quite hold back a giggle at the sight of Peebee talking with her mouth full. "Aw, thanks. I make much better use of that paring knife when I'm peeling fruit than stabbing monsters." She'd witnessed his attempts at the latter in Isabelle's class, after all.
Re: Lecture
"See," she said thoughtfully, and paused to take another bite, "around here? Seems like that makes you the unique one. Most people'd rather stab things, or lose their minds and throw sharks into a hurricane, so congrats on being original."
Her tone was flippant, but there wasn't any hint of sarcasm.
Movie!
At least the science all checked out. Bonus points to that Ron Howard guy for actually getting NASA's input on that one.
Re: Movie!
Several of them were thinking it, and Peebee actually said it. But under her breath, at least.
"That's kind of adorable. But wow."
Re: Movie!
Okay, so maybe Kanan wasn't as asleep at the desk as he was letting on.
"See? Earth is cute!"
... He had just been vindicated. They tried so hard! It was adorable!
Okay, now he was going to grin sheepishly and put his head back down.
Talk to the Teachers
Re: Talk to the Teachers
He's just gonna... you know... nap. With his face down on the desk, not even trying to pretend otherwise.

OOC
You guys escaped the trauma of Gravity today!

Re: OOC
I WILL FOREVER VETO MARS ATTACKS.
That and Tremors. My childhood traumas. Surprisingly, I managed to recover from Starship Troopers.
