If you hadn't been cold enough last week, boy are you in luck, kids!

"Through the portal you go." Beat. "You might want to put on a coat first."

Road Block!

Send a postcard from Port Lockroy! After being dropped off in the middle of God knows where (thanks, Portalocity), snow shoe to Port Lockroy using a compass and a rudimentary map to get there. Talk with the researchers and then send a postcard back to Fandom! It might take a few months to get there, so Anakin will get lots of hatemail around September.

By the time Pinkie got to Port Lockroy, she'd turned blue.

Quite literally. Sky blue. There were actual icicles hanging off her nose and fingers.

"D-d-d-do-o-o-o y-y-y-o-o-o-u-u-u h-h-h-a-a-a-v-v-v --"

Fortunately, she was nearly in last place already, so the researchers just handed her the post card and a pencil. Someone helpfully aimed a hair dryer at her while she wrote the meanest thing she could think of to Anakin.

It involved repeated use of the phrase "Meany McMeanhead" and a curse to never make friends with any penguins.

Why did it have to be snow? Khadgar was terrible with a compass, and worse with maps, so he was an annoyed little popsicle by the time he sent his postcard. And he had wet snow everywhere, ugh!

Jason's postcard was basically just a selfie of him scowling that he convinced one of the researchers to print out. Because a picture was worth a thousand words and all.

Jyn struggled with the snowshoes, so she was lagging behind. Her postcard, once her fingers thawed out, was going to contain several very uncomplimentary things about Anakin.

So Kaylin sucked it up and went. It took her a bit to figure out the floaty arrow thing, which slowed her down some.

Detour: Tedious or Terrifying

In Tedious, you take a snowmobile to a nearby penguin colony (SO CUTE) and then assist the researchers by counting all of the penguin eggs. All of them. And the researchers know how many there are, so if you get the number wrong, back you go.

In Terrifying, you jump into the Antarctic Peninsula from the shore. Are you stupid? Don't do this.

Pinkie absolutely went with counting all the penguin eggs. She had to go back and recount for times.

She kept getting distracted making them tiny penguin party hats.

Okay, the penguins were cute, and some of Khadgar's previous teachers were big fans of tedious counting tasks, so the eggs weren't so bad.

He was tempted to try to sneak a penguin out with him, but he figured that would end badly.

Jason was briefly tempted to see if super-durability would prevent hypothermia. Briefly.

Thankfully, sanity took over and he trudged over to the penguin colony to begin counting. Sigh.

Kaylin seriously considered jumping into the Antarctic Peninsula. How much colder could it be? And when it was this cold, didn't the water often feel warmer? Someone had told her that. She thought.

In any case, after a great deal of arguing, (and some very swearing and creative name-calling by the guy in charge - which Kaylin memorized for further use), she decided not to.

It took her forever to count the eggs because she and the guy bonded over swearing and she shared some very interesting Elantran insults and swears and a wonderful growly obscenity in Leontine and, well, that was a lot more interesting.

Pinkie had gone from sky blue to ocean blue. It clashed with her hair.

She was really wishing he'd told them to wear pants as well as coats.

One of my castmates from Arsenic and Old Lace went on an Antarctic cruise this March/February. I was deeply jealous.
