Arts & Crafts,Wednesday - 2nd Period

This week, that bucket of glitter was there once again. This time there were popsicle sticks, though. Because that shit was crafty, right?

"Hey, you all made it back. Great. I totally wasn't hoping you'd all decide to skip this class so I could just play Candycrush on my phone the entire hour. But whatever. Fine." He'd still play Candycrush so, nyah. "I got you some more shit to glue together in an artistic fashion, so... get to it."

He was going to end up spending way too much time at the Hobby Lobby looking for things to distract his class with, wasn't he?

"Yep. Now get started. I don't have all day."

Ready for some glitter

No, there weren't any instructions. You came to the wrong class if you thought he'd be teaching for realsies.

Still feel gross. Fucking hate allergies.

The teacher, who remembered he had a TA this week, was indeed playing games on his phone. Because he was a great teacher like that.

Glue! Glitter! Eventually Perdiot would realize what they were intended for!

... Eventually!

For now, she was mostly just mucking about in the glitter, because the glue offended her Gem sensibilities.

Xanthippe...

Was also playing a game on her phone. It distracted her from the seething of having to be here in the first place.

Summer Smith

Summer almost did skip class. She was coming hot out of a debate in her first workshop that made her feel like she'd been a total slacker and had some work to do. Now she was almost wishing she had, but still figured if she began skipping classes, she'd get in trouble with the old G.F., which would put a pretty big damper on her plans.

So there she was, distractedly gluing sticks and glitter together in some artistic fashion while her brain was elsewhere. She ended up sort of making a popsicle stick maze sort of thing, imagining that's the sort of thing she encounter if she ever found the galactic prison holding her grampa.

Khadgar

On one hand, Khadgar knew that this class was a waste of his time, and that he could be spending this time on far more intellectual things.

On the other hand, it was kind of nice to just play with glitter and sticks for a while, and he ended up with something that didn't look as much like a snowflake as he wanted, but still looked pretty.

Shiemi was making a garden of flowers. Sparkly glitter flowers. Glittery sparkly glitter flowers. Sparkly glittery sparkly glitter flowers. Covered in glitter.

Yep.

Glitter.

"~~Mmm hmmm hmmm~~"

Was there a glueing sparkly glitter to glittery sparkly sticks to make sparkly glitter flowers song?

Pinkie looked thoughtfully at the sticks and glue and glitter for a long moment, then got to work.

And ended up with a Victorian-style popsicle stick doll house complete with a tower, a wrap-around porch, and gingerbreading in the eaves and windows.

"Hmm. It's still missing a little . . . something." If only she could work out what!

Ringo glanced over at Khadgar. "Whatcha working on?" she asked curiously.

Hey, Deadpool wasn't gonna notice if he wasn't in class. Dante hadn't assumed otherwise.

But he did like glitter.

He did some inspiredly rude work with the popsicle sticks and the glitter, then took to his phone too.

Ahsoka Tano

Still using the Force to keep the glitter off. herself, Ahsoka sighed and started wrapping electrical tape around one end of the sticks then dipping them in variously coloured glitters.

Soon enough she had a range of tiny glittery lightsabers.

"It's supposed to look like a snowflake," he said, holding the sticks together to try to keep them stuck. "I think it'll look better once it has more glitter on it, although I'm trying not to end up with too much of the stuff on me. I found glitter in my clothes over the weekend last week."

"Oh, yeah, I can see that now."

Well. Sort of, anyway.

"And, what, you don't think glitter is, like, a key part of your personal sense of fashion?"

"Not particularly," Khadgar said with a laugh. "Have you incorporated it into your fashion?"

"On occasion." She flashed a grin. "My friend Ada is really into glitter, so I've gotten a bit infected by her."

"Was she one of the people running around the picnic wearing more glitter than clothing?" Khadgar asked, with a hint of a blush. "Not that I was looking at those people, I mean."

"Probably!" Ringo laughed.

"And, shame. She's a very pretty sight."

Yeah, that just made Khadgar blush more. "There are a lot of ridiculously attractive people here, with or without glitter on them. It's almost uncanny."

Ringo laughed again, shaking her head. "That's so true! I wonder if somehow it's, I don't know, intentional? Like, if the Island is doing it somehow along with all the other weirdness?"

"Maybe it's one of those things that happens to make us want to stay?" Khadgar suggested. "Like, sure, occasionally you might wake up as an animal, but you'll be around really attractive people, so it all balances out."

"Huh." Ringo considered that. "Like, um, payback? Does that mean that the more crazy and terrible things happen to you, the hotter people on the island get?"
