"There are seven different large land masses on this planet called 'continents'," Anakin explained, pointing to the handy map from last week as the class assembled. "Last week we visited a country in South America. This week we are going to an island nation off the coast of North America, which is where we are located. We might visit it again through the school as part of a spring or fall break vacation--Jamaica is rather famous for its beaches."

And rum. But Anakin was Being An Adult right now and wouldn't mention that to impressionable youth. "It's the same set up as last week--complete two assignments, come find me, try not to die." He glanced at Hyacinth. "Don't get too distracted by the local population."

Cough.

"Ready...go."

How low can you go?

Oh, yes, it's limbo time. For every level you pass (there are ten), you get to leave on a flight fifteen minutes earlier. If you fall over/can't bend/get distracted by something shiny, you're out!

It wasn't that Ahsoka wasn't flexible enough to go lower than what she'd been disqualified at, but this game was biased against people with lekku.

. . . yeah, guess who kept falling over and getting distracted by shiny things?

No points if you guessed anyone other than Merrill.

June kept getting more and more competitive as the limbo went on. When it was down to her vs. Rey, and she lost, she practically snarled in annoyance.

What was the point in this? Kaylin couldn't be bothered to care particularly.

Jason's status as a former star athlete meant he had a competitive streak a mile wide. So he pushed himself further than he possibly should have, only finally conceding defeat when his bad knee twinged, causing his leg to buckle out from under him. That there were only three people left when he finally bowed out was really no consolation.

Khadgar had never in his entire life played anything remotely like limbo. Needless to say, he had a big learning curve ahead of him, and it involved a lot of falling on his backside.

It should be no surprise to anyone that Hyacinthe could go very low, right? Right? And he also watched everyone else closely. For...reasons. Research reasons.

Once you've landed from your flight to Rio Grande, you get to make a choice: Raft It or Build It.

In Raft It, you get to travel 8 miles (13 kilometers) up the river on a bamboo raft using only a pole to steer. Once you got there, you got handed the directions on where to find Anakin. In Build It, you have to build the bamboo raft, using only the traditional tools given to you. Once your craft meets the supervisor's standards, you have to raft across the river and find Anakin.

Ahsoka was self-aware enough to realise that travelling up the river would somehow result in going far out of her way due to various complications and probably end in something being on fire.

Then she got a good look at that raft building tools.

Raft it it was!

Merrill wasn't going to build a raft by herself, not after how long it took her to get past the limbo part of the course.

So of course she fell in the river.

June thought rafting would be easier.

June thought wrong.

By the time she got untangled from a mass of water plants and managed to steer in the right direction, the bulk of the class had passed her.

Now this was a mess. Kaylin couldn't swim and didn't think either idea was particularly good, but building it involved much less time on the water, so she somehow managed that.

Not without falling in and needing to be rescued however.

Yeah, Jason was... not at all a crafty person. So he opted for the rafting option, thank you very much.

Between this and the ropes in the temple earlier, it was very much an arm day.

Khadgar didn't trust himself enough to make a raft, so he just attempted to get up the river using the raft. It wasn't pretty, to say the least.

Hyacinthe was good with his (aww yeah) hands and building a raft took very little time. Sadly, his skills with bindings (aww yeah) did not translate to actual rafting. Look the City of Elua wasn't known for its huge open waters.

Long story short, Hya ended up falling into the water. Fortunately, there happened to be a handsome youth nearby who was willing to help him up out of the water and one thing lead to another and...

Yeah, going to be tenth again, wasn't he?

He's under a beach umbrella on Montego Bay, drinking a mango daiquiri with an umbrella in it because he can.

Ahsoka did in fact carry a noticeable smell of smoke with her when she arrived on the beach.

Now she was debating whether to try and lift sand into his shoes or his shorts. Or both.

Just not the drink!

"Hello," Anakin said. "You're third today. Good job, Snips."

She wasn't that vindictive!

She was totally going with both though. "Thanks, master. Could've done without the detour, though."

The detour, not the Detour.

"Which detour?" Anakin asked.

"The unplanned one."

Anakin remembered those, right?

Merrill quite literally slogged up the beach toward him after almost everyone else, water dripping from her clothing and her hair and even the tips of her ears, which she'd tried to hide under a scarf that had floated away downriver somewhere.

"The river?" Anakin guessed, trying to hide a smirk.

Merrill pushed a lock of soggy hair out of her eyes and nodded. "It was a little too fond of me, I think."

A still coughing and dripping wet Kaylin finally squelched up.

"I'm done now."

Jason was visibly limping by the time he made his way over. But at least he wasn't sopping wet, unlike some people. So that was something?

"Oh, there's a lot of other people here already," Khadgar remarked as he showed up, frowning and wet.

Hyacinthe was only a bit damp when he made his way back to the others, but was once again in an excellent mood.
