All of Jughead's possessions fit inside a single backpack.

He didn't mind it. At least it was crammed as full as it could be crammed, that was good enough for him. And if he could keep people from figuring out that was the case, even better. This was supposed to be a break from –– everything. Riverdale and all associated drama.

Still, when he arrived in the lounge and checked his phone, he found himself wondering whether Archie even remembered he was moving today.

Whatever.

He dropped his backpack on the floor and leaned against the wall. Good. This seemed like a decent spot to stand in while eyeing everyone else warily.

"A surprisingly fair amount," Magnus replied. "I mean. Once time I had to use a crowbar. But I got this bitchin' Mega-Man gun out of the deal."

Which he dumped immediately after he was done and got in his witty one liner.

Man, if only Angry Wall Dad didn't have, like, rules about sharing the whole "I'm a Power Ranger" thing. Jason had a feeling Magnus would appreciate just how freaking cool it was.

... When evil space witches or giant monster's made out of an entire town's supply of gold weren't actively trying to kill you. "Is that, uh. What you do? Just go around fighting things?" It sounded like that was what he did.

Maybe Angry Wall Dad just needed someone to stand up to him for a touching 'you're a man now, son' kind of interaction!

"Oh yeah. Protecting people weaker than me, getting into awesome fights, and hugs are all my thing. You know. My thing."

... Well, now. A year, six months ago, even? Not so much.

"That does raise the question of what are you doing here, with a bunch of juvenile delinquents," Jason mused. "I mean, I know you said there was the whole new body... thing... but why here?"

"I... have no idea," Magnus replied with a nod. Then frowned at the delinquent comment. Because he wanted to stick up for this kids for whoever was calling them that.

Oh, just, you know... his dad. The Angel Grove Sheriff's Department. His previous high school's administration. No big deal.

To be fair, he'd kind of deserved it, but he was doing much better now! Which was why this whole reform school thing was getting under his skin so much.

"Maybe someone at the school will know where your friends are?" Jason suggested. Yeah, kind of a long shot, but it made about as much sense as anything else that was going on today.
