All of Jughead's possessions fit inside a single backpack.

He didn't mind it. At least it was crammed as full as it could be crammed, that was good enough for him. And if he could keep people from figuring out that was the case, even better. This was supposed to be a break from –– everything. Riverdale and all associated drama.

Still, when he arrived in the lounge and checked his phone, he found himself wondering whether Archie even remembered he was moving today.

Whatever.

He dropped his backpack on the floor and leaned against the wall. Good. This seemed like a decent spot to stand in while eyeing everyone else warily.

Well, the hands themselves weren't new. The amount of force he could accidentally exert if he wasn't careful... well, that was still fairly new.

"I think I've got it," he said, holding it out in her direction to show her how he had, indeed, conquered the mighty Skittles bag. "But thanks. Want some?" he offered.

"Sure," June decided with a shrug, and held out her hand. "I think the whole new high school thing requires sugar."

"New high school, sure," Jason scoffed, shaking out a handful of candy for June. "Cause that's all it is."

"What else would it be?" June asked, suspicious. "'My brother just said high school."

If Metias had tricked her into some stupid training program...

"The Sheriff's Department told me this was a reform school." Jason shared.

"No way," June said. "Not for me, anyhow."

She'd gotten 1500 on her Trial. Prodigies didn't get sent to reform school.

"Maybe they have two schools," she guessed.

"Maybe. Unless... did you blow up your locker or something?" Jason asked. That was what had landed Billy, arguably also not your typical misbehaving teenager, in detention at his old school, after all.

"No," June said, but a little too quickly.

After a moment: "There might have been some ... unauthorized use of equipment." Which, in June-speak, meant that she'd tested her hacking skills by breaking into the school's grades database to check her midterm score. "But it's their own fault for not having better security. The dean didn't even seem that mad."

Yup, she definitely reminded him of Billy. "And yet, here you are," he said, gesturing expansively at the lounge and all it's sullen-teenager-filled glory.

"Here I am," June agreed wryly. "Headed to reform school with the other delinquents."

She still didn't think she was going to a real reform school.

Jason was going to be so pumped once he figured out that wasn't the case for him either. "I mean, I guess it could be worse?"

"True," June agreed. "At least they dropped us someplace safe for now."
