Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2017, Early Saturday Evening [Part 1]

Right after sunset, to make sure all types of guests could safely attend, the ceremony for graduation was ready to go. The lawn of the school had been lit up with blue and gold lights, which reflected nicely off of the glitter scattered throughout the lawn.

Hey, if your glitter supplies never got low, you'd make everything sparkly as often as possible too.

There were chairs set up for all of the graduates, and plenty of seats for guests to come and watch. The weather was beautiful, cooling off after the hot, sunny day, and Fandom was firmly on the ground, unlike last year.

Congratulations, Class of 2017! Things might not be so great across the causeway, but at least the world didn't end before you could get here today!

"Right, so, graduation." Guess who hadn't written a speech! And who was maybe, still kinda drunk from Dante's party. And who had a visible hickey from 'greeting' Zevran.

"It's not about the robes, or the paper, or the fact something's probably going to try to kill us before the day's out." Isabela had actually paid attention to previous ceremonies. "Or even the glitter, or the shirtlessness, or the giant sticks some people have up their rears about those things It's about how the naked people covered in glitter were the friends we made along the way."

Well, given Isabela's friends group, it wasn't exactly inaccurate.

From how hard Anders was laughing, he thought it was a fantastic speech. Or at least a very Isabela one, which amounted to the same thing.
