Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2017, Early Saturday Evening [Part 1]

Right after sunset, to make sure all types of guests could safely attend, the ceremony for graduation was ready to go. The lawn of the school had been lit up with blue and gold lights, which reflected nicely off of the glitter scattered throughout the lawn.

Hey, if your glitter supplies never got low, you'd make everything sparkly as often as possible too.

There were chairs set up for all of the graduates, and plenty of seats for guests to come and watch. The weather was beautiful, cooling off after the hot, sunny day, and Fandom was firmly on the ground, unlike last year.

Congratulations, Class of 2017! Things might not be so great across the causeway, but at least the world didn't end before you could get here today!

Anakin looked out at the crowd with a small smile. "I feel like we've been here many times before," he began, "but the excitement of transition always feels new. You graduates have been with us, either for years or for months, and we have enjoyed watching most of you grow and develop through interactions in classes and with your fellow students." He gave a rueful shrug. "And also through the periodic invasions and random weather, but what can you do?"

He nodded at Zoe. "As Principal Winchester said, you are always welcome here if things go...oddly...in your home dimensions, which I've learned happens more often than you'd think. If you would rather pretend your time here never happened, well, we understand that impulse too. Good luck, class of 2017, and may the Force be with you."
