Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2017, Early Saturday Evening [Part 1]

Right after sunset, to make sure all types of guests could safely attend, the ceremony for graduation was ready to go. The lawn of the school had been lit up with blue and gold lights, which reflected nicely off of the glitter scattered throughout the lawn.

Hey, if your glitter supplies never got low, you'd make everything sparkly as often as possible too.

There were chairs set up for all of the graduates, and plenty of seats for guests to come and watch. The weather was beautiful, cooling off after the hot, sunny day, and Fandom was firmly on the ground, unlike last year.

Congratulations, Class of 2017! Things might not be so great across the causeway, but at least the world didn't end before you could get here today!

A strange magic had pulled Karl to this place. Dazed, he had been pulled from his bed, back into the bizarre other-world he knew as Anders' current home.

He wandered after the crowd, hoping to find the man.

Instead, he'd wound up sitting here. "Maker."

Shut up, Dante didn't have conflicting feelings about this. You couldn't prove it.

But he had a bottle of something on him as he sank his hungover ass into a seat.

Zevran was cheerfully looking around as he took a seat. Whenever he visited Isabela introduced him to the friendliest people.

Like Face wasn't going to make time to visit for this. He'd even found a completely embarrassing banner that read "Congradulations, Cass!".

Yeah, he was totally getting punched later.

"Still don't understand what she sees in this place," Duncan Miller said as he stood next to his seat, looking around at the sheer number of Townies. "How was she not bored out of her mind?"

"Miller girls are strange, mysterious creatures," Chester deadpanned, "--especially Ada. Now sit down, before she comes out here and kills you for making a fuss."

Yzma was not best pleased to discover Kuzco was, y'know, still alive when she received the invitation to his graduation.

"He's supposed to be DEAD," she hissed in the world's least effective whisper.

"Awkward," Kronk agreed. "Especially after that eulogy you gave."

"Ya think?" she replied witheringly.

This wasn't Steve's first graduation, so he'd brought the shield with him this time and was sitting up close enough to hopefully provide cover.

He was still new enough to think he'd be able to help. Cute.

Merrill made her way to the seating area on the lawn, a little bit late but in time to make the ceremony.

She was covered in glitter by the time she sat down; it was an odd contrast to her slightly forlorn expression.

Éponine was there, lurking in the back, as far away from people as she could manage and wearing as inscrutable an expression as she was capable of mustering. She was pleased for Cosette, true, but she'd be hard pressed to conceal her jealousy if she was within visual range.

And yet, still soaking up the vicarious graduation experience as much as she could.
