How To Shoot Straight, Monday

"Next week, we tackle some weird old-school weapons, like bows," Atton announced. "Just in case you get stuck in Ye Olden Days or something. So this week, we're doing a movie day on how to shoot a bow. Seems simple, right?"

Beat.

"Okay, I sort of lied. You guys get to watch the movie, but you also have to do stuff. Which is to say, you have to work on your own bow while you watch. Materials are in the corner. This," Atton added, holding up a sheet, "Is your how-to. Don't lose it. I'm not going to give you another copy."

. . . so maybe by a third of the way through the movie, Tali was drawing mental blueprints (What? She wasn't actually going to pull her omni-tool up during a movie, that would be rude) of a prototype bow with its draw weight augmented by mass effect fields.

Yes, she realized it would entirely defeat the point, and it wasn't like she didn't have a healthy appreciation for effective low-tech weaponry. It was just a fun mental exercise.

Until the bear showed up, and then she was just paying attention to the movie.
