"Pippi" looked up, ready to scowl again but it melted into a charming smile as she pretty much fell in love with the flash looking vision standing over him.

... You know Adella, he's on the rebound I hear.

Reaaaaally.

Yup.

Pippi could be evil too, when the mood struck her.

"Well." she said softly, offering her hand. "Thank you."

There was something unnerving looking at this little slip of a girl done up like...well, like the doxy he'd accused her of being. Still, it was the theater, and he was willing to suspend his disbelief.

He flashed his most charming grin before he took her hand and pressed a light kiss against her knuckles.

"You are truly enchanting, pet. So vibrant and well-practiced. The Bard himself would be proud."

He was engaged recently see... And she left him for an old boyfriend. I'm sure he needs consoling... And isn't he handsome?

Yes, he certainly is a tall drink of...

And then he kissed her hand.

Adella was completely at a loss for the sensation that resulted. Mostly, there was just something completely magnetic about this magnificent specimen pressing his lips against her knuckles. But there was something else, something that gave her quite a jolt, and a strange sense of foreboding.

What are you not telling me about this man girl?

... Well I just don't know what you're talking about. You just seem so sad and lonely... So lonely and sadly alone. So pathetic and in need...

Okay okay, shut up... I don't need you kid. Just stay quiet.

Certainly.

Fairy Adella glanced up at the man with her most coquettish eyelash flutter, despite the underling eerie vibe she was getting from him, she did not let go of his hand.

"Well that is quite a complement coming from you..."

Crawley

"...Crawley."

Crawley?

Yeah.

Odd name.

I thought you didn't need me.

I don't... Shut up.

His lip curled into a sneer, a nervous tick to the twitch of his head as he examined her. She felt...different. The vivacious mischief of the little pirate wench cresting subdued for something more omgDirty! seductive.

He sniffed and cleared his throat, then ran his hand through his hair, uncertain what to do with her. Little children all over this town came running to him like he was some kind of svengali.

"Poppet, you're, uh, feeling all right? Yesss? All ready to go out and pilage and burninate like a proper pirate ought?"

Re: Backstage - Intermission

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-03-19 08:45 am (UTC)(link)
Oh by Dymphna's Tree she really was a pirate?

"I think I'd be up for it." continuing to hold his hand and placing her other hand on it. That really was the strangest vibe.

Oh you know what?

SHUT UP!

... Ooookay.

"Do you have any... suggestions? On where to start?"

Who knew Pippi's voice could get so... Husky.

Re: Backstage - Intermission

[identity profile] flash-serpent.livejournal.com 2006-03-19 08:52 am (UTC)(link)
"Err..." Well, now. This wasn't usual at all. This was akin to Kiki schnuggling to his bare chest before she snapped awake. He gently tried to pull his hand away from her, because...minor! There was propriety to be considered and some things just weren't done.

But she was quite fetching all done up as she was, certainly there wasn't any harm in moving a little closer. Touching that brilliant hair. Speaking just a bit...lower.

"Would you really need a suggestion as to where to begin, my sweet? You're quite a corker, you know how to get to me right quick, I think."

Well... It worked for the quiet guy.

Fairy Adella used the action of trying to pull his hand away as an excuse to lean in closer to him.

"I think you're right." she purred, running her free hand up his side.

Welly welly well...she certainly didn't touch with the innocence of a child. Sad to say his brain was all a-fog as he leaned in closer, his lips a breath from the crown of her head.

"You're far more wicked than you lead me to believe, Pippilotta. Why on Earth would you touch me so knowing what I could do to you?"

His words carry the warning, but his voice is all warm invitation as he leans into her hand.

He doesn't know the half of it. If she had control of her face, Pippi would be grinning the most impishly impish grin that was every impishly grinned.

Quiet kid, you're killing the mood.

*giggle*

Adella turned "her" face up to his. She let go of his hand and caressed the back of his neck.

"Perhaps that's what I had hoped for." she murmurs.

He gasped a breath he didn't need and leaned down to her, almost touching her lips.

"Oh..my." came softly from his lips, the slightest hint of sulfur on his breath.

And then without warning his wings unfurled wide behind him, gleaming dark feathers flexing wide and rustling loud enough to be heard over the din of backstage chatter.

Brimstone? Wings???

Oh that's right! Did I forget to mention he was a Demon?

...

You know? Like from Hell. Silly me, I should have mentioned.

Fairy!Pippi's eyes went wide and she tried to scream but it just came out a choked squeek.

Her head lolled back and there was a jolt... Suddenly sexy!Pippi was gone and "normal" Pippi was laughing great peels of merry laughter in Crawley's arms.

He suddenly got the feeling there was some great joke he wasn't privy to...almost like when Lucifer told him simply to 'get up there and make some mischief.' He pulled back and gave her an incredulous glare.

"Care to tell me what's so funny..." then he noticed how close he was exactly to this little pirate and shot back a pace, "...Pippi?"

Re: Backstage - Intermission

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-03-19 09:27 am (UTC)(link)
Pippi smiled at him, completely undermining the goth/punk look she had going in her costume.

"The cast." she said, "Most of us are being possessed by Fairies. I'm not sure why, but I think it has something to do with Professor Dream..." she looks around for him but sees he's talking to that grouchy "queen" inhabiting Parker.

"This one," she tapped her head, "Is really unpleasant. I don't like her... She's been very rude to most of my friends... Including you... Leading you on like that... That wasn't nice at all."

Re: Backstage - Intermission

[identity profile] flash-serpent.livejournal.com 2006-03-19 09:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Quite a rude little trollop, indeed. Is she sticking around, or is this like most Fairie fun, and she's just using you for a bit? I'm becomming quite weary of the rate of possession of the little girls in this town. It's...disconcerting."

Ignoring entirely the No Smoking signs, he pulls out a cigarette and lights it, pulling in a deep drag.

Fairies. Bugger. Nasty little rude brats. Worse than children, they are.

"Has she hurt you at all, pirate?"

Re: Backstage - Intermission

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-03-19 09:41 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't hurt you at all! I haven't hurt your friends either! I can't! I wouldn't! I'm gone once the curtain falls for the last time! For the sake of all that is good please don't tell him my name!!!

I'll think about it.

... You did that intentionally.

Yup.

"No, she'll be gone by curtain call. And I don't think she would hurt me if she could." answered Pippi. "She's in here too ya know. And I'm thinking if she hurt anybody else Professor Dream would make them leave. Though she did try to convince one of my friends that he had to go with her when she left. He was to smart for her though."

Stop bad mouthing me to the Demon! Talk about something else! Please!

"You're enjoying our play then?"

Re: Backstage - Intermission

[identity profile] flash-serpent.livejournal.com 2006-03-19 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, yes. Quite good, actually. Bang up job, Pippilotta the fairie-possessed. And the rest of the cast too. I'd wager Miss Parker is seething at this intrusion, as well as that Amazon. Nothing worse than a strong woman out of control of herself."

He took two drags one after the other, sucking the cigarette down to the filter, then he palmed it and it disappeared.

"They'd do well not to take any of you children back with them. I've been to Hell and I'd rather be back there than trapped anywhere with any of you."

He smirked at her and winked.

"I ought to get back to my chair before you take the stage again, pet. Well worth admission to watch you wrestle this one into submission in you. Serves her right for taking on a fierce pirate as a host, what?"

He grinned and patted her on the head as he tucked his wings back into hiding.

Pippi smiled and waved as he went.

"Yeah. Bye. Enjoy."

"Nothing worse then a strong woman out of control of herself."

What was that?

What was what?

About strong women?

Nothing...

Oh I think not.

Shut up, he's still right over there.

Eeep!
