Just as the house lights went down, Veronica and Piper slid into seats, making sure to leave an empty seat on the end. For no reason in particular.

There might have been a tall, dark, and shadowy figure that sat in said seat. Not that he snuck in with V and Piper. Or hadn't bothered to wait to find out from Janet if it was okay for him to be there.

On the upside sneaking in meant he was allowed to sit way down and try not to watch anything until he heard Cal's voice.

"You okay?" Veronica leaned over and whispered.

She hoped that Janet and Callisto weren't going to kick her ass for helping Angel sneak out.

"Sitting like a good boy," he said. He held up a program to cover his face. "Not exerting myself at all."

"Promise," Angel said. He indicated himself. "See? Not even wearing a funny outfit."

"Good," she said, leaning back in her seat as the show started.

Angel would have said something like "At least I'm not on stage this time." but he'd done hard time in Sunnydale. He knew better than to tempt the gods of irony.

It wasn't hard to guess who the person slumped in his seat with a program in front of his face was, particularly since Bel had been watching for him. He made note of where Angel was sitting and planned to look in that direction when Logan came out on stage.

No reason.

Had Angel known Bel was looking he would've made a face and reminded him it's not like he wants to do this when Logan's around.

But he didn't so... he didn't.

CJ slid in behind Veronica and Piper...and left the seat on the end empty as well. For no particular reason.

Kurt had the hood pulled up on his jacket as he walked down the row of seats.

He smiled at the familiar face.

"Fraulein CJ, may I have this seat?" He asked warmly.

"I saved it for you, Kurt. Please, join me. Take that thing off...you're in Fandom now. Don't be self conscious. Plus?" she grinned, "You're with me."

Kurt complied as he took his seat, and warily took the hood down.

"Forgive me, it's hard to get used to that sort of acceptance."

"So, did your friend recover?" Kurt asked in a concerned voice.

"Angel?" she smirked and jerked her head toward the boy sitting directly in front of Kurt. "He's doing fine. Well enough for theater, anyhow."

Crossing her legs the other direction, she leaned in closer.

"You might not be used to it, but really...no one is really going to think anything bad. You're staff, you're just as unusual as everyone else. It's ok." she laid a light hand on his leg and gave him a reassuring pat as the seats around them filled.

Kurt looked where she indicated. The young man seemed fine. A bit roguish looking, but handsome as well. And not at all what Kurt expected a vampire to look like. He was sitting next to the blonde he had met at the park, Veronica.

"Ja, it's not an easy thing, fraulein." Kurt smiled. "But with a good friend like you, I am learning."

"Sorry I vas away last week," Kurt apologized. "The Professor called me to come help with a problem, and it took a few days. Ach, I need to get to the library this week, and meet my assistants."

"One of them is playing Titania, and another playing Puck...I think. Parker and Zero. I'm sure they'll be...well...I'm sure they'll be as kind to you as they have been to the previous librarians."

She flashed him a soft smile and there might have been a touch of pity in her eyes as the lights began to dim.

"Ready for this? If nothing else I promise it will be unlike anything you've ever seen."

"Ja," Kurt nodded. "I love the theater."

He snuggled down a bit in his seat and prepared for the show.

She almost snorted, "This isn't theater, Kurt. This is Fandom."

The lights went down and the curtain went up and she settled in next to him to watch Act I (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/725611.html?thread=34773611#t34773611).
