Library, Thursday (2/16)
When Cosette opened the library this morning, a small collection of children's books came flocking over to crowd around her feet in a way that strongly resembled ducks greeting someone who fed them regularly.
"Yes, it's good to see you all too," she told them, and proceeded to gather them up one by one with a compliment or kind word for each and -- as they were reshelved -- a gentle admonishment of "Now stay there so people can find you easily enough when they need you, all right?"
She had missed one, apparently, as she discovered a couple of hours later when she was on another reshelving run and nearly tripped over a copy of The Poky Little Puppy that seemed to have gotten lost. It was skittish, though, and she ended up having to coax it into a dustpan with a broom.
. . . and then carry it back to the desk with her, and let it spend the rest of the day there in hopes that it would calm down enough to be reshelved by the time she had to leave. She was fairly sure she couldn't simply adopt a library book and take it home with her that way.
[OOC: No OCD, open! I had a really weird dream, okay.]
