Adulting 101- Monday
Today the Danger Shop looked like the parking lot of an apartment complex on a nice, perfectly warm, sunny day. Suck it, January.
"Today we're talking about apartments," Kitty began. "Once you move out of the dorms, you have to figure out a living situation. Maybe you're lucky enough to be able to live with family or friends while you figure things out and save money, but for the rest of us, it's time to look elsewhere. You have options. You can find a roommate and split costs to save money, or you can strike out on your own, which is more expensive but means you get privacy. Today we're going to visit a couple places, just to let you see what's out there, and you're going to get to figure out what you want in a place. Like I would need at least two bedrooms, it'd have to take dogs and dragons, or at least dragons that look like cats if you put an image inducer on them, and room to entertain." Also she lived in a house now and she had no plans to go back to apartment life. "Just know that you can want a lot of things, but unless you've got the money to back it all up, you'll have to make some concessions. So before we go in, we're going to go around and you'll tell me what you must have in a place."

Re: Discussion
But the weekend had wrung her out, so she just sort of looked exhausted when she looked up with. "Um. I don't know."
Great answer, Ringo.
Apartment #1
"This is in Lexington Park, and starts at $812," Kitty said. "You can actually get a lot here, depending on which unit you get; they sometimes have differences depending on what floor you're on or what part of the building you get. This one has a dishwasher and washer and dryer in unit, plus there's a pool on the premises. So take a look around and see what you think."
Apartment #2
"This is over in Baltimore, and you get 825 feet for $1,135," Kitty said. "It's restricted income housing, which means that if you don't make a certain amount they won't even consider you. A lot of places want you to make two or even three times the rent in order for you to be eligible. But for that price here you get a view, you get a bay window, you get an updated kitchen. There is no pool, but there is a fitness center, and you there's no laundry in the building so you have to find somewhere else. So really, it all depends on what's important to you in a place and what you're willing to spend to get it, or if you're fine with whatever. Look around, check things out, decide for yourself."

She felt a little old right now.
